Ever since Spike Jonze's and Michelle Williams took their relationship to the next level, it seems that Spike's work has become more kid-centric.
If you'll remember with me here, Michelle Williams was Heath
Ledger's fiancee up until a few months before the actor's tragic death,
and Matilda (in the stroller) is Heath's daughter.
The more thing get serious in the relationship, the more Jonze's art appears to be reflecting his new role as the man in Matilda's life. First, Spike adapted
the children's book Where the Wild Things Are for the big screen. Now,
it appears that he's tackled another children's book: Everyone
Poops.
OK, it's not a trailer for a real movie being made, it's kinda one of
those self-reflexive spoofs that Jonze is fond of. After watching the trailer
though, I wish he would go ahead and make a feature length film out of it. That'd be hilarious!
Do you think Spike is considering becoming a step daddy? At the rate that he and Michelle are going, it seems likely enough.
