There are Internet reports that rapper Snoop Dogg's wife Shante Broadus was killed, even citing that Snoop was holding his wife's body. So, what's the scoop?
It would seem it's another "death" hoax, that for some odd reason, people like to create.
From associatedcontent.com:
The photo from the California Highway Patrol site lists in its "Additional Details" section that at 3:19 yesterday afternoon, Snoop Dogg was holding the body of his dead wife in the basement. However, yesterday afternoon, Snoop was getting high live on the Internet for his fans, so it raises the question of how one can be in two places at once - even while high.
The California Highway Patrol reportedly got this news from an anonymous tipster, but they dubbed it at being so ridiculous that they did not follow up on it. No official report from Snoop Dogg, or Shante Broadus, has yet confirmed that she is still alive.
The TMZ and Internet rumor of Snoop Dogg's wife being dead appears to be just another wild and crazy Internet report of a celebrity being dead. These kind of reports can top web searches for hours, despite being untrue.
TMZ even titled their story "Snoop Dogg's Wife - Deady Dead?" Uh, ya.
For now, we'll assume (and hope) Snoop's wife and mother of his three children, is alive and well. As for the 36-year-old rapper/actor getting high on the Internet - great job dude, your kids would be proud.
