Late night TV host Jimmy Fallon and his wife were out with their 2-year-old niece and her 11-month-old sibling last weekend when they were kicked-out of a restaurant.
Apparently there was some sort of mistake, according to Fallon, where employees of the NYC pizza place Posto believed he had said something negative about their food, so they told him to leave.
Fallon did what any heated person with a cell phone would do, he took it to Twitter (I did this not too long ago when a company screwed me over- they called me the next day and fixed everything, so it works).
This is what he said:
* i am not (or ever will be) a food critic. this girl was laughing as we (my wife and I) were wheeling the kids out.
* I have never ever EVER reviewed Posto. Carb face Carol and owners Jonathan Tweedy and Anthonio Gomez should be ashamed. not cool.
* dudes. no joke. i actually like that pizza!
* i actually hope that you choose to never go to Posto, Gruppo or Vezzo. that girl was laughing at us, telling us to leave.
* i soooooooo love technology. and i soooooo love the power of people.
* in that pizza tas[t]ing - i actually said - that Posto is good. they shouldn’t be in this competition because the pizza is thin (cracker like)
* i’m sorry. i am venting. don’t boycott. don’t hate. I just have never been thrown out of a restaurant.
Now I wasn't there and I don't know Jimmy Fallon, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night work in a restaurant for a few years and I can't imagine ever kicking someone out for something like that. If anything we'd bend over backwards to make the return trip as enjoyable as possible. And with kids? Really?
The fact that Fallon is a celebrity with a nightly TV show and a Twitter account only makes the decision look all the more questionable.
On the other hand, pizza sounds pretty good.
