It was being reported that Shante Broadus, Snoop Dogg's wife and the mother of his kids, had passed away. A "tip" was posted on a California Highway Patrol website which claimed her body was in their basement and Snoop was "holding" her. Which, as we all know now, couldn't possibly be true - Snoop was busy being a role model for his children, getting high on Twitter video.
Shante is alive and well - thank goodness, but she's very upset and angry about the whole situation.
Snoop's management said in a statement:
"Of course, the CHP rumors are absolutely not true, totally ridiculous, and most of all hurtful to Snoop Dogg and his family.
"Snoop, Shante and their family are all alive and well - we appreciate the fans concerns for their safety. Anything said or reported on regarding the death of Shante Broadus is totally false."
Who starts these rumors? Snoop Dogg's wife is not the first celebrity to be targeted with death rumors and it must be really weird to read such things about yourself or have one of your kids come across the story (if they're old enough to be online).
