Late last year, country music star Dierks Bentley welcomed a new muse into his life and songwriting. And reportedly, she has some pretty strong opinions when it comes to musical taste.
His 6-month-old daughter has already inspired more songs than most people do in their whole life, but apparently, those are pretty much the only ones she likes.
When Dierks sings her one of her songs, she loves it. When he busts out one of his more -- how do I put this -- adult-oriented songs, she pretty much just sits there. Or even worse, when he played her an acoustic version of "This Beautiful World," Evie puked. Of course, Dierks thinks that's super cute -- which it is:
“That counts … spit up’s good! Throw up or spit up … either one’s fine. It’s a response.”
Dierks also talks about his parenting approach:
“If it’s a guy raising a guy … it’s, ‘Oh yeah. I know exactly how to
raise a little dude!’ With a girl it’s like, whoa … you just start
looking at everything differently. I’ve just got to be there to allow
her to blossom into the girl she wants to be.”
