Johnny Depp's first ever appearance in an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants is slated to premiere on April 17th, but for those who couldn't wait ... there's a preview. (video after the jump)
I wonder if Johnny decided to lend his voice to the production because his two children Lily Rose, 9, and Jack, 7, are fans of the show? Seems like maybe Lily Rose and Jack maybe a little older than SpongeBob's target demographic, whatever it is.
Johnny's character is a terminally tan surfer guru named Jack Kahuna Laguna (the Jack could be reference to his son or his character in Pirates), who wields incredibly long, and strangely phallic, surfboard. I mean, what's up with that long board?
Maybe I'm just reading too much into it; it's not like adults produce the show or anything. Remember all of those hidden sexual messages in Disney movies?
