No, really! Katie has apparently been lighting up to deal with stress and it's sparked a whole new chapter in her lifelong battle with nicotine.
The Church of Scientology can't be happy with her choice to smoke. I don't know much about the religion, but I'm pretty sure that involves both giving a lot of money to the church and not smoking.
Of course, even with its free stress tests, her immersion into Scientology might be one of the thing causing her stress these days: going to Scientology boot camps, having to battle over when to start brainwashing her 3-year-old daughter Suri, you know... normal mom stuff.
Reportedly, Katie has also been taking the recent death of her brother in-law pretty hard.
“Katie has tried to quit and was doing really well, until she got the news that her brother-in-law had died... Unfortunately, Katie fell back on the smoking to deal with the tension,” added the source.
It's surprising sometimes to find out who the celebrity smokers are, but Katie Holmes, really? That's blowing my mind. And it's apparently not just a one cigarette at a party thing, she's like a real smoker...
