It sure isn't New York City, but it sounds like Liev Schreiber is starting to get cozy with the idea of packing it all up and moving the family out to Naomi's native land, Australia.
“I was able to get into a rhythm and I got a feel for the lifestyle and
the quality of life there... It’s just unbeatable, plus if you’re raising kids, I can’t imagine a better place.”
If Liev and Naomi are going to move their kids to Australia,
now's the time to do it, with sons (Sasha, 21 months, and Samuel, 4
months) still at a very young age.
It shouldn't be terribly difficult to adjust. At least they speak the same language in Australia -- albeit with a wildly different accent -- and maintain a pretty similar culture.
Apparently, the paps are pretty intense in Australia, and Liev isn't going to like that. According to Schreiber, his emotions towards the paparazzi have grown much more intense since the birth of his children.
“I was fine until [21-month-old Alexander] ‘Sasha’ [Pete]
came along and then I started to get aggro,” he says with a laugh. “As
an actor, I think I’d never kind of reached the heights of fame that
Naomi had, and so when she came into my life it was a real test on our
relationship.”
“I didn’t like that she was bringing all that attention
with her and I think I probably blamed her for it in the beginning. But
after a while, I acclimated to it and then, of course, Sasha was born
and I had to acclimate to it all over again.”
