After a 5-year hiatus, No Doubt is back on the road and (hopefully) as good as ever. But for mommy Gwen Stefani, this touring thing is going to be a lot less wild now that her sons Kingston, 3, and Zuma, 9 months, are coming along.
“Before, when I was with the guys, I didn’t have any kids. That’s like,
whoa, a huge deal. They dynamic of the band is different. It has to
be,” she explained. “I’ve got two babies and their nanny, and an
assistant, and my security, and a hairdresser. It’s not as much of a
party, but that’s what I need in order to perform every night.”
Aw, isn't that sweet. Gwen's a responsible mother. No more doing blow all night with strangers and blaring reggae tunes all night long in a cloud of pot smoke. No more shacking up with washed-up UK rock stars, oh wait...
Speaking of Gavin Rossdale, I wonder where he factors in to all of this? It sounds like Gwen's boys are coming on tour with the band, along with a nanny. Is Gavin going to come along for support? Seems like he should be taking care of the kids while Mommy's out making the money.
I wonder if touring will feel more like a job and less like a party for Gwen, now that her life is way more family-centric. She didn't look too stressed out on the Today Show.
