Gloria Allred is trying to open up a can of whoop - tush (you guys say you don't like the cursing, so deal with it) on Octomom.
She alluded to a new lawsuit that a secret client was bringing against Nadya Suleman and then revealed that the secret client was Paul Peterson. They are suing Nadya Suleman for overworking her kids and spending the money.
The petition was filed on behalf of plaintiff, Paul Peterson, who is a
former child actor (Mickey Mouse Club and The Donna Reed Show) and has
been an active, outsoken child labor advocate for decades. He has been
instrumental in the passage of several California laws designed to
protect children in the entertainment industry.California's child labor laws are pretty strict and Gloria is using those laws to her advantage. By law, children -- ages 15 days to six months -- also can only work
two consecutive hours (between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. or between 2:30
p.m. and 4:30 p.m.). They must also have a nurse and a credentialed teacher on the premises while the children are "working".
Ms. Allred stated that, "Rather than chose to provide her children with a normal life, their mother, Nadya Suleman, has chosen to commercially exploit them. We believe that the babies are entitled to remuneration since most of the compensation appears to be use of their images."
The goal of the lawsuit is, "To be sure that the babies receive their fair share of payments" and that their payments "be placed into separate accounts for them and preserved for them as required by law."
It looks like Nadya won't be getting any more new tattoos or going on her $1000.00 spending sprees at the Mac counter.
Ms. Allred added that Octomom may be, " Potentially endangering the health, welfare and safety of children."
Ooh, Octomom got served.
