No trashy tabloid affair is complete unless at least a few lavish gifts are exchanged, and it appears that Jon Gosselin's is no different.
This is so totally classic. According to alleged mistress Deanna Hummel's deadbeat brother Jason, Jon Gosselin not only took time away from his own wife and 8 kids to indulge in a fling with Hummel, but he managed to make some fairly hefty purchases for his lady on the side as well. From US Magazine:
One of the ways to his mistress’ heart? Expensive presents. “He gave her a Cole Haan bag,” Jason says of the $295 Pixie Straw Collection bag that Jon FedExed, with receipt (shown in US print edition), to the Hummels’ home. A store clerk confirms to US
that Jon shopped at Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive store on March 25, while
traveling with Kate. As for other gifts, Jason points to his sister’s
new diamond watch. “She never could have afford the watch, and it’s not
a style she would have picked out,” Jason says.
If Jon really did buy Deanna a bag while he was on Rodeo with Kate, it kinda lends some credence to the rumors that they have an open marriage. Still, it seems a lot more likely that Jon was simply cheating, and that Kate's in major denial.
Apparently, Deanna's brother called Jon a "moron" and "dumb." If all these allegations turn out to be true than I'm going to have to agree with him. In fact, I'm halfway expecting a leaked Jon and Deanna sex tape in the next week or so.
