Caught in the middle of a sticky situation, Snoop Dogg knows how to set a responsible example for his kids - by offering to take the rap for a friend who got busted for pot!
No kidding. When a member of Snoop's entourage got arrested for recieving a suspicious package full of weed from Canada at the Norfolk, Virginia Plaza Hotel, the Father Hood star himself stepped in with his medical marijuana license and tried to take responsibility.
The hotel apparently felt there was something odd about the package when it arrived and called in the fuzz to investigate. That's when Snoop came to the rescue... sort of. Since Virginia has no medical marijuana laws, Snoop's buddy got arrested anyway. Still, it's the thought that counts.
Oddly enough, I can't quit thinking how fatherly the move was on Snoop's part. Not so much because it sets a good example for the kiddies -- of course, neither did the video of him toking up on Twitter -- but because he showed how to stand by a friend in need. Ha!
Hopefully, Snoop won't have to pull the same kind of manuever with any of his children (Cori, 9, Cordell, 11, and Corde, 14) but I'm sure he will if he needs to. Considering the example he's setting for them with his use of the medicianl herb, he will need to.
