I am so glad to read this article, not because they are separating I know that can be bad on the kids, but because I have always thought that Kate was abusive and when I watch the show I can't help but to feel sorry for John.

I hope the judge watches a few episodes as well.

I cant say I am surprised, they really dont seem to get along very well, I thought so from the beginning and was surprised a coupe like that has 8 little ones. Kate seems to be a control freak with a temper and John bites her head off sometimes. This mariage was not made in heaven.

Hmmm... pure speculation here (isn't all of it, though?), but has a reality show family ever gone through a public custody battle? What would the role of the crew be? Could they be called to be witnesses? Or, if they do edit out "abusive" language or behavior, could that be called as evidence?

If they do get divorced, has our legal system ever dealt with something like this?

I think kate is to mean to jon.  Jon does not want to show on tv that he does not like it. But can they get divored?

jon and kate need to suck it up and pretend like this mess never happened.

I am so disappointed in both Kate & Jon, and I will not watch this program anymore.  It was too good to be true, and the children will suffer from their immature behavior.  What happened to their religious beliefs?  Too sad for words.  

I do think that Kate is abusive to the kids and to Jon. It seems like everytime she turns around she's yelling at someone. I understand that it would be very stressful with 8 kids, but that doesn't mean you have to yell. Jon keeps his cool most of the time, but I can tell he gets annoyed but Kate a lot. He seems to not want to yell back on TV. If they do get this divorce, I hope the kids go to Jon.

I think that everyone just needs to stay out of it and let them work it out or not work it out b y themselves..Its thier life and their family.Yes kate can be controlling and jon can even be a little snappy twoard her also..reality people most familys have bad times as well as good. and their family is just like everyone elses....everyone has problems every now and then

Straight up: Kate and John just had eight babies to get on tv. News companies pay people to be on tv you know. Kate's tired of the hard work! She takes it out on her kids because overworked people go physco. Now that everyone is having huge amounts of kids she not special and loses her fame. All she wanted was money and fame.

Everyone needs to mind there on dirty laundry an not everyone elses. If you dont live in there house then you dont know the truth!

People should just leave there lifes alone for a while so they can try to word everything out. these gosselin chilren need a mom and dad. not just a dad or just a mom.to tell you the truth i am a 14 year old girl who loves kids. i know how to control kids with out abiusing them.i love to watch jon and kate plus 8.but i never knew that kate was really mean.wat i think is that people should just leave them alone so that they could try to work everything out.i realy dont want these childern to grow up with only one parent.i want them to grow up the right way. i know that jon and kate can save this marrage.they just need some privatecy.i realy dont want the children to have a broken heart as they grow up!i dont want jon and kate to split up! i stay up watching their shows. i love their kids.***CARA MADY ALEXIS HANNAH LEAH COLLIN JOEL AND ADDEN***
