"Men With Trees" star James Tupper says that being a dad to newborn Atlas has been exhausting. James is also a stepfather to Anne Heche's 7-year-old son, Homer.
"It's a bit like having an unreasonable employer," James joked about Atlas. "He doesn't give breaks." Actually, Atlas is rather quiet. "I always imagine babies crying. He doesn't, really. He's very sweet. He's in a warm bath of love and attention."
And now, with word that NBC is ordering more eps of James' pilot - "Mercy," a medical dramedy - it looks like Homer's going to be "a bicoastal baby." What does Anne think about the left and right coasts thing? "She's taking it a day at a time," James says.
"Mercy" costars Taylor Schilling, Buffy hottie Michelle Trachtenberg, and Jamie Lee Kirchner. With the network upfronts this week, be on the lookout to see if the show is picked up. I'm already disappointed that Fox has canceled "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Hold me.
