Move over Octo-Mom, there's a new incredible mothering story going around that's sure to rocket Dallas' own Mia Washington into celebrity (or at least freak show) status.
11 months after giving birth to twins Justin and Jordan, doctors at a DNA lab in Dallas made a shocking discovery. Her twins had two different fathers -- which at the very least blows my mind and challenges my definition of "twins." Mia revealed that the incredibly rare condition was the result of having an affair with two men at the same time.
What does "at the same time" mean exactly? I'm really not sure, and I don't think it necessarily means a "threesome" ... but I'm going to start calling her Menage 'a Mom just in case it sticks.
The condition is called "heteropaternal superfecundation" and even the scientific name sounds kinda creepy and wrong, but it can happen. Says Washington:
"Out of all people in America and of all people in the world, it had to happen to me, she told myfoxdfw.com. “I'm very shocked."
I think it's fair to point out that it's not exactly like all the people in America or the world are female and have unprotected sex with two men at the same time, so it's not exactly a miracle. Heck, even porn stars know to use protection in a situation like hers.
Fortunately, one of the fathers is engaged to Washington and plans to raise both boys as his own.
