Jon & Kate - Listen Up, This Is For You

Posted by trix

Jon & Kate Gosselin are fighting mad and not just at each other.

The couple is tired of, and mad at, the paparazzi that constantly hang out in front of their house and follow them around trying to take pictures of them and the kids. They insist that they didn't sign up for that part of being a celebrity.

Au Contraire, Mon Frère.

You signed up for the big time as soon as you said, Yes, I will take all those freebies, thank you very much.

You become a reality celebrity and everyone wants to know everything about you. They want to know whether you deserve all the great things you are getting and why you? Why do you get these things instead of them?

Once people find out that you both came from wealthy backgrounds, then it was on. You were using the system and abusing their trust. Of course people are going to hound you with cameras, they want to see you fail. They want to justify it in their minds that you really didn't deserve it and that you conned everyone.

So quit your whining Jon & Kate, think of your kids and the pain this will cause them as they get older. Is it so hard to be nice to each other and remind yourselves why you fell in love?

Pull up those bootstraps and get to work, because you have a long row to hoe if you are going to make it work.

trix - you got it right. even more important than the fact that you *signed up* for this is the fact that your incessant Us Weekly covers are going to hurt your kids. Now and when they are old enough to Google their own names or yours.

Sorry, I don't think anyone deserves being hounded by paparazzi. They can be so brutal.

Noone deserves being hounded by the paps; however, if you truly do things for your kids then you would quit the show for their sake and the paps and all the media attention would go away. It's that simple. Yes, you would need real jobs and no, you couldn't live in a multi million dollar home any longer but you'd have your life back and your kids wouldn't be living their lives for all to see.

I shudder to think what it would have been like in HS if the "mean girls" could have goggled me and gotten a screenshot of me going poo on the potty to pass around.

They are using their kids as income and that's wrong. Eventually the kids understand that if they aren't funny or entertaining enough anymore Mommy and Daddy can't go on vacations or buy new cars - talk about pressure.

It's one thing to do a special on them when they are babies but FIVE YEARS of them constantly on camera? Have you seen how many shows they do a year? That's ALOT of footage.

I can't believe they have the gall to say that they are "Doing this for their kids". Yeah, right. Because your kids need hairplugs and tummy tucks to have a better life?
