Hilary Duff has no regrets. I find this hard to believe. Hell, even Sinatra had a few.
The actress/singer claims that her childhood was a "proper" one. Whatever that means. She denies that her becoming famous at the age of 13 deprived her of anything. In fact, she believes that it added to the experience, allowing her opportunities that most teenagers never have.
I agree. On paper that sounds great. Yet, in real life the majority of her cohorts are not so "proper" anymore. Duff, whose squables with Christ, freaking Lohan again? Lindsay Lohan have been well publicized and documented, has managed to avoid further negative press. I can't help but give Hilary the nod on that one.
She says, "I wonder what life would have been like to have a different life." It's like she's channeling Nietzsche.
"I sometimes wish I wasn't always watched or didn't have to worry about
been seen somewhere. But I've experienced things other girls haven't.
I've traveled,
I'm financially independent, I own a beautiful home and I'm happy with
my job. I don't have to struggle with the questions a lot of other women do."
I'm filing her in the "smart kid" file for now. I hope I don't see her on Wednesday.
