Which is not the kind of place that one visits for, say, a toothache, or athlete's foot. Usually, one only seeks the expertise of specialists in maternal fetal medicine if one is maternatating a fetus.
Unfortunately, it is also often the case that one seeks the expertise of specialists in maternal fetal medicine when one's, um, maternatation is what we delicately call 'high-risk'. And when one is seeking the expertise of specialists in the kind of medicine that is necessary to the care and protection of a high-risk pregnancy, one is all them more inclined to want to keep that pregnancy a secret.
So, Christina, if you're reading this - which of course you are - we understand. We'd love to get some good news from you, but if you need to wait until you're certain that its good news, that's fine by us. You keep that genie in the bottle as long you need to.
