New York Yankee third baseman, Alex Rodriguez, has released a children's book. Writing books for kids is pretty popular amongst celebrities, only surpassed by adopting children and going green.
A-Rod's contribution to promoting children's literacy is a much bigger step than the one his wife, Cynthia, took last month.
Alex read the book, "Out of the Ballpark" at NYC’s FAO Schwarz, with Cynthia and their daughter, Natasha (notice the Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell pins, I've seen them at Disneyland, around $4, I believe, for her Crocs, $25). The store contributed 15% of all book proceeds during the event to A-Rod's Family Foundation. Doesn't it seem like a guy with Rodriguez's bank account could contribute a bit more of the proceeds to charity, say 100%?
