The rumor that James Hewitt is Prince Harry's real daddy is back in the "news." In a homepage story on Thursday The National Enquirer quotes a new book by Christopher Anderson, titled After Diana: William, Harry, Charles, and the Royal House of Windsor. Anderson claims that Harry wants to put this matter to rest with a DNA test. In their latest issue US Weekly also talked to Anderson, who told them that the Queen would never permit a test, just in case.
This story goes way back. The BBC has a great side by side picture of Harry and Hewitt in a story from 2002 about the paternity questions.
It also has excerpts from James Hewitt's interview with The Daily Mail
and another book about Diana by her police bodyguard, Ken Wharfe. Both
point out that Harry was about two years old when Diana and Hewitt started
banging boots, making it difficult-to-impossilbe for Hewitt to be the
Baby Daddy, unless there was a threesome with Mr. Peabody in the Way Back Machine.
