Last week we pondered the question about Madonna's face and why she looked so banged up. The answer is actually pretty telling about her character.
She was in a confessional mood while lunching with gal pals in London,
"Forty can be
a fabulous age — it certainly
was for me," she told friends, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Stella McCartney.
"But
there's absolutely nothing sexy
about 50. The only thing I have to
look forward to is the menopause."
Her friends laughed politely, but know there's something else at work here.
