Kimora Lee's Baby Gets A Name

Kimora Lee and boyfriend Djimon Hounsou's son, born early Saturday, now has a name, according to Kimora's Twitter page. It's Kenzo Lee Hounsou.

Kenzo is Kimora's third child -- the other two were with ex Russell Simmons -- and Djimon's first child. Congratulations guys.

The Phat Fashions CEO promises to send baby pics just as soon as she can. Coming up with a name for you newborn should probably take priority over sending baby pics out to the media and your followers on Twitter.

Now that the name's out of the way though, maybe it's time for some family photos? She did send out a pic of herself in the hospital bed.

Kimora's other two daughters, Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki, 6, must be excited about having a new brother. Congrats, guys.

Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons are no longer a couple, but the two have remained friendly because they have two daughters together - Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki, 6. And Russell always has kind words for the mother of his girls.

What are his tips for an amicable split?

"You smile no matter what happens, and you keep smiling. During a marriage, they say you make a tremendous compromise. Men say all the time they just be quiet. You've gotta be quiet 24 hours. It's OK if you're separate and can be quiet, but it's a mess if you talk. You just learn to be a little bit accepting and promote tolerance and act and be tolerant yourself. Allow each other a little freedom, and faith."

Russell is proud of how Kimora is raising the girls:

"The thing that makes me most inspired is when there was some celebrity who was in the Hamptons and I just missed her. And they asked me, 'did I want to see her?' and I said 'I'll catch her later.' They said 'well, your daughter would like to see her.' And she's just one of those celebrities who runs around. They said, 'well your daughter would love to see her.' I said, 'would you like to see -- the name of this celebrity?'"What celebrity?'"Doesn't matter. And she said, 'no, no, I think she makes bad choices.' That's what Ming Lee told me. That to me reminded me that their mother has been doing such a good job with them because she knows what's a good choice already."

What does Russell love most about being a dad?

"The innocence is inspiring. The way young people think, you want to think like them so they teach you a lot. Having a child teaches you so much. That really is the best part of being a dad. You remember what's important in life."

Kimora Lee Simmons has given birth! She and husband Djimon Hounsou have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy!

At least that seems to be the case with new mom and member of the E! fam, Kimora Lee Simmons. The Phat Fashions CEO took to her Twitter page late last night to let the world know that her baby was on the way.

Tweeted Simmons, "It's time!! No turning back! At hospital in labor right now!!," followed shortly after by, "Having contractions now! Ooo- wee! It's like WHOA! Love & Light, KLS."

She was even nice enough to send along a TwitPic from her hospital bed—looking nothing short of glamorous, of course.

Sixteen hours later, E! News can confirm that Simmons and her partner, actor Djimon Hounsou, are now proud parents. Says her rep, "Kimora and Djimon's son was born Saturday morning, May 30th."

The lovely face of Baby Phat and the Oscar-nominated actor have been together since March 2007, following her split from husband, entrepreneur Russell Simmons. The two Simmons' share custody of their daughters, Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 6. This is Hounsou's first child.

Simmons and her gorgeous girls currently star on her hit reality show, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane on E! sister station, The Style Network.

While she has yet to tweet her new son's name, we're sure that as soon as Simmons is well-rested and back to her fabulous self, we'll receive the update—via TwitterBerry, of course.

Kimora Lee Simmons is in labor, and we know it's true because it came straight from Kimora herself - via her Twitter page.

At around 9pm Friday night Kimora Twittered the following:

"It's time !! No turning back! At hospital in labor right now!!"

Around the same time she posted the photo above to her TwitPic page. Shortly after that she added:

"Having contractions now! Ooo- wee! It's like WHOA!"

This will be the first child for Kimora and boyfriend Djimon Hounsou; Kimora also has two daughters with ex-husband Russell Simmons.

We'll keep you posted on the baby's arrival - let's hope Kimora keeps her Blackberry on hand so she can update her Twitter page while giving birth.

Russell Simmons Writes Ex Kimora Lee A Mother's Day Letter

Music and fashion mogul Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons are no longer a couple, but the two are parents together. Russell wants Kimora to know how much he appreciates her, as the mother of his girls - Ming, 9, and Aoki, 6 - so he's written an open letter to her.

Russell writes:

To all the fathers out there, it’s almost Mother’s Day, so you better start thinking about doing the right thing…Flowers, dinner, breakfast in bed, tuition, something special…

Everyone knows Kimora Lee Simmons as a fashion model, author, the genius behind Baby Phat, President and creative director for Phat Fashions, philanthropist, reality television star, talk show host, top model judge…the list goes on and on. To me, she has been my partner, best friend, consultant, confidant and basically the greatest mother I could ever hope for, for my daughters. I feel so blessed to continue to have such a great personal and professional relationship with her. Every time I spend time with our girls, I credit her for giving them their manners, thoughtfulness, intelligence, beauty and kindness.

A lot of you fathers, if you look deeply inside of yourself, you will find the support system in your baby’s mama, that allows you the freedom to sleep at night. Even though you are partly disconnected from the daily process of raising your children, you can trust that she’s getting the job done. So celebrate your baby’s mama, as I do! I know damn well, I’m grateful for my babies’ mama.

Wow - how lucky for Ming and Aoki, to have such a great dad, who appreciates their mom, despite the couple no longer being together.

Kimora, who is now engaged to Djimon Hounsou, is pregnant and due soon.

Russell Simmons has it all figured out, the key to calm kids is meditation.

Do you meditate? I do sometimes, really every once in a while, but when I do it helps so much. I can imagine the difference it would make on a child.

Russell says that his daughters are able to focus on their education and he is able to get by in a stressful world. Maybe that's why it was so easy for him to agree to pay the $40,000 in child support, well that and the fact that he loves his daughters.

Did you know that he works with the David Lynch Foundation to promote meditation in schools, that's great.

He said, "I'm a meditator. I operate most days from my meditation. It gives me the strength to function when the outside world is full of stress. It's much easier. My children are meditators. It's changed their life. And I want to give this gift that has helped my kids to all kids... Schools are almost like prison when you don't get kids to focus on what's inside... To promote quiet time in schools where some of the worst schools become the best. These million kids that we will teach to meditate, I'm very happy to be supporting it."

I think that is awesome, I'm going to go meditate now, I'm inspired.

In case there's any doubt - Kimora Lee Simmons is pregnant. The Baby Phat CEO showed off her baby bump and a t-shirt with a strategically placed arrow to let you know that isn't fat down there - it's phat. Work with me, I'm trying to get hip with all the lingo the young kids are using these days.

Simmons and boyfriend Djimon Hounsou are expecting their first child together sometime in May or June; she also has two daughters, Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 6 ½, with ex-husband Russell Simmons.

She has been dating Djimon Hounsou since 2007 and they have been practicing their babymaking often, because it's fun.

Ex-model and Baby Phat designer, Kimora Lee Simmons is very protective of her girls, Ming, 8, and Aoki, 5, and refuses to let them wear provocative clothing.

"I would not let my daughters show their midriff," she said this week at the New York City launch of her new juniors line at JCPenney. It was even tough for her to see Ming in her halter dress. "That's a lot for me," she admitted.

"I feel like I've exposed my kids to a lot. We do lead a very high-voltage life so we have to taper back in other ways."

Her boyfriend, actor and model Djimon Honsou feels the same way. "He's very protective of them."

Kimora might be a bit of a diva at airports, but I like her philosophy when it comes to dressing her girls!

Kimora Lee Simmons won full custody of daughters Ming Lee, 8 and Aoki, 5, and is now asking for $480,000 a year in child support.

In documents filed on Wednesday June 25, at Los Angeles Superior Court, the fashion model-turned-designer is asking for $20,000 per month for each of the couple's two daughters, but wants no spousal support from ex-husband and Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons.

The couple married in 1998, and filed for divorce in 2006, citing irreconcilable differences.

Wait a minute, wasn't she pregnant with then boyfriend Djimon Hounsou's baby? Sources in June reported she was engaged to him (well she clearly loves him), but I'm guessing the baby bump thing was just a rumor. We'll be watching!

That ain't no baby phat. Kimora Lee Simmons and boyfriend Djimon Hounsou are seen here at a movie premiere and it sure looks like she's pregnant . Either that or she's trying to sneak in her own popcorn underneath that dress. I stopped doing that when I got butter stains all over my Prada mini.

I used to like Kimora, until I caught a few minutes of her awful show, Life in the Fab Lane and saw her tossing her hair, cackling and yelling at her employees. She really does say 'fabulous' every five seconds, and by the end of the show I wanted to muzzle her with her own extensions.

Kimora Lee Simmons might not be anyone's first pick for Mother Of The Year - you know, what with all of that marching her children down runways in Baby Phat bling and all - but at least she has the sense to not let herself be used as a propaganda tool in the Church of Scientology's campaign to brainwash kids.

Fox News reports that a Scientology video has been leaked in which Scientology leader David Miscavige announces that Kimora Lee Simmons has been distributing the group’s "Way to Happiness" propaganda pamphlet in New Jersey and Los Angeles.

The news that Simmons is somehow involved in Scientology comes around the six-minute mark in the eight-minute video (in which, in true, noble Scientology fashion, Miscavige advocates violence against practitioners of psychiatry) posted at YouTube:

Miscavige, dressed in a tuxedo, seems to be addressing a large crowd in the gauche, ornate Celebrity Center in Hollywood from the same podium on which he gave Tom Cruise an Olympic-looking medal in 2004.

He tells the gathering that to reach new recruits 12 to 18 years old, they can do better than Simmons, who "funnels booklets" in the aforementioned locales. On the screen behind him, Simmons’ face is shown.

Only one problem, though, Simmons’ publicist told Fox that Kimora is in no way involved with Scientology. "I’ve asked everyone," said the flack. "Kimora is not a Scientologist. We have nothing to do with this."

I should hope not. Not only is Scientology an evil cult that exploits the vulnerabilities and pocketbooks of the rich and the weak, it just has not shown Kimora any respect, at all. Do better than Kimora Lee Simmons at seducing bling-addicted young women with daddy-supported credit cards? Nuh-UH!

From the "Don't Do It Djimon" Files: Kimora Lee Simmons wants to have another baby. In case you don't know who she is, she's the ex-wife of rap mogul Russell Simmons, current girlfriend of actor Djimon Hounsou and ~~boobs~~ brains behind clothing line Baby Phat. Oh, and she stars in the reality series "Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane" in which you can see her screaming "Fabulous!" every ten seconds. Go ahead and turn it on, I'll wait. Scary, isn't it? Yes, the antacids are over there.

Kimora, who has two daughters, Ming, 7, and Aoki, 5, with ex Simmons, is apparently trying to get current squeeze Hounsou to knock her up. And who wouldn't want to impregnate this ball of fun: Vacationing last week at Sandals resort in Antigua, she reportedly "instructed hotel staff not to talk to her directly and only to address her through her assistants." Not too fabby, I say.
