Liev Schreiber Has Passed The Action Figure Test

You probably never forget the day that you become immortalized in the form of a plastic figurine. It's a proud moment for any dad when he's able to hand his son or daughter an action figure and say 'see that, that's daddy.'

But what if your kids don't like it? What if they strap firecrackers to it and blow it up in the sand box?

Luckily, Liev Schreiber doesn't know what that feels like, because his son Sasha apparently likes his Sabretooth action figure.

"He [Sasha] has a bag of toys which is called his turtle bag that he puts his favorite toys in. And I gave him the daddy action figure, I call it, and I waited to see if he would put it in the turtle bag. A tense, a tense 15 minutes it took him ... everyday I come home to make sure it's still in the turtle bag."

That's great. Could you imagine the damage that your ego as a father would sustain if your child didn't like your action figure? Damn, that would be like fatherhood hell on earth.

Of course, now that Schreiber has passed the test and he's all full of himself for becoming an action figure, he does have some ~~complaints~~ criticisms for the designer of the "daddy action figure."

"I'm assuming they read the logline for the movie, that I play this prehistoric terrifying game cat. What possessed them to make me look like an angry squirrel?"

Liev Says His Boys Are Driving Him Bonkers

Liev Schreiber loves his sons, no doubt, but he says the combination of a 4-month-old and a 21-month-old in the house is not exactly a recipe for peace and tranquility.

"There's nothing fun about the age they're at right now. Each one on their own is insanely fun, but the combination of the two of them after hours is just chaos. I don't remember the last time I slept like a human being."

Hopefully, that's just the exhaustion talking. I'm pretty sure there's got to be at least one fun thing about the age they're at now, it's just hard to enjoy it when you're at your breaking point.

Sure, having two young children can push you to the limits of your own sanity, but at least it also helps prepare you for advanced interrogation techniques like sleep depravation. You never know, maybe Liev will get cast as a Jack Bauer-esque hero in a future film, now that he's broken into the action movie genre with his portrayal of Sabretooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Liev's had a pretty busy month, with the premiere of the X-Men movie and a scarry trip to the hospital with Sasha. Thankfully, everything seems to be A-okay with 21-month-old.

Watts And Schreiber's Son Taken To Hospital

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber got a pretty huge scare last night when their 21-month-old son Sasha went to the hospital with respiratory problems.

Luckily, everything seems to be okay now, and little Sasha has come home after a night in the hospital. Says Schreiber's rep:

“Sasha got home today and is feeling much better after being hospitalized on Tuesday night with respiratory problems.”

If you happened to be lucky enough to get a ticket to the LA premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, you may have noticed that Liev, who plays Sabretooth in the flick, was nowhere to be found. That's because he immediately flew to New York to be with his family.

That who experience had to be really freaky for Naomi and Liev, I'm glad that little Alexander "Sasha" Pete is going to be alright. I'm sure the family is super relieved.
