Ethan Hawke, 37, wife Ryan Shawhughes, and baby Clementine were out and about in NYC Sunday. I can't believe they were planted at home, waiting for the Emmys to start. Oh, wait, yes I can. I saw that Emmy turdfest and haven't seen TV that boring since, oh, the VMAs.

Clementine is now 9 weeks old! And the whole family was there to show her off. Sister Maya, 10, can be seen in some of the photos, and so can mommy's awful Converse sneaks. Really, black Converse after Labor Day? What was Ryan thinking?

Is There a Lil' Wayne Sex Tape?

If you liked watching Lil' Wayne's pants fall halfway down his ass on the VMAs, you're going to love seeing them around his ankles: Rumor is that there is a sex tape about to hit the internet featuring him and R&B star Nivea. Apparently Lil' Wayne likes to use his camera phone during his, um, activities to show his buddies later and the footage fell into the wrong hands. Obviously LIl' Wayne has been taking PR lessons from Miley Cyrus.

You gotta feel for Lil' Wayne's daughter, Reginae. First there were those morbid rumors that she had died in a car crash, and now she has to deal with the possibility that her friends at school will be seeing her dad doing the nasty all over the internet.

Christina Aguilera VMAs 2008: She Keeps Gettin' Better (Video)

Christina Aguilera's performance at last night's MTV Video Music Awards blew me away. I'm not a huge fan, and yeah she may have been lip synching a bit, but I still thought she gave one of the most energetic performances of the night. And the choreography was, as the young kids say, tight.

And also even more impressive since she just gave birth in January to son Max. I'm not exactly sure what I was doing seven months after the birth of my first child, but it sure wasn't cavorting on stage in a pair of spandex pants. Mine were leather.

Britney NOT Lipsyncing at MTV Video Music Awards

A few days back, the world was aflutter with the word that Britney Spears, 26 and sister of new mom Jamie Lynn Spears, would be performing at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. We got caught up in the excitement, too, because - well, it's BRITNEY! *cough*

But it turns out that was a rumor. On his recent radio broadcast - and I can't believe I'm going to source this guy - Ryan Seacrest put that story to bed after talking to Britney's manager, Larry Rudolph.

Rudolph says Britney is NOT performing in the September 7th ceremony. Damn, and I was so hoping to see her lipsync with that scrumptious weave she's got going on. Good news for you Britney fans, though. Her manager says that the reason she's not performing is because she's busy in the studio working on her next album.

I. Cannot. Wait.

Kevin's gonna "work it" out and then sell it to you.

Kevin Federline is going to get his butt in shape and we can all benefit from it, for a price. This last couple of years or so he has really let himself go and he's all fat and gross now, but this year he is gonna get "ripped and sexy again".

He wants to have the video released in 2009 so he can rake in the dough. If he can actually make his own money will that mean that Britney will get to stop paying him more money?

I want to be first in line when this fitness video comes out, don't you?

Britney To Wow Us Again?

Britney Spears and the VMA's go hand in hand.

This year, her video for the song Piece of Me has been nominated for Best Female Video so she might get another chance at a comeback performance. After last years attempt (fight with a hairdresser, stumbling across the stage) at a comeback, she spent the first few months of this year getting her life back in order, she definitely needs another go at it.

This years performance could be awesome, she's got a lot to prove after last year's performance, I'm not sure what she'll do but it should be memorable.

Apparently Pammie's new man, Rick Soloman, is a bad influence and her friends are concerned.

“She parties almost every night. She drinks, she does stuff . . . and she’s got hepatitis C. Her liver is shot but she keeps living this crazy lifestyle,” her friend divulged.

“They went wild over the VMA weekend. I just watched them party with my jaw open. We don’t think she understands how serious this is. She has two kids and may not be around to see them grow up at this rate.”

She does look really rough. And by rough I mean dragged behind a car with her face bouncing off the pavement.

There is a God: Britney Spears Says No to Emmy Appearance

I think we can agree that one humiliating, brutal awards-show event is enough for anyone's lifetime. And I'm not just talking about Tommy Lee getting bitch-slapped by Kid Rock at the VMAs. In a rare show of wisdom and self-preservation, Britney Spears has decided not to appear on this Sunday's Emmy telecast. It was rumored that Spears would appear on the show to "apologize for the VMAs" but US Magazine is reporting that Spears' camp has ended talks with Emmy producers. Whew.

Thankfully somebody put a stop to this. Perhaps it was divine intervention, enlightening career advice or maybe it was the fact that sons Sean and Jayden were petitioning to have their names changed to Jolie-Pitt.

It Ain't Hard Out There For a Pimp: Kevin Federline Gets Britney's Money

What could be more painful than bombing on the VMAs? How about having to give your slacker ex-husband $20,000 every month until he either dies or gets married?

Britney Spears will have to do just that, as it's being revealed in a court document that was signed by a judge today. This differs from their original prenup, which cut off K-Fed's $20k spousal support after November 2007. That would have meant only two more months for the ex Mr. Spears to have his big hairy hand in Britney's wide-open cookie jar. I mean this metaphorically, of course.

Unfortunately this means that there'll be no end to the photos of Federline partying on Spears' dime - endless shots of him getting tanked at Tao and escorting scores of trashy blondes out of the back door of Hyde. Unless of course he gets married or dies. I think I hear Britney's shotgun getting cocked now.

Britney Thinks That Her Ass Looks Fat In Those (Under)Pants

Us Weekly, demonstrating that they are, indeed, noble souls who desire nothing more than the spread of love and goodness throughout the world, had this to report yesterday: 'Brit Cries, “I Looked Like a Fat Pig” After Exiting Stage.' They say that, according to a backstage source, she was able to see video of herself throughout the auditorium during her ill-fated VMA performance: “She flipped out. She came running off the stage, yelling ‘Oh, my God, I looked like a fat pig! I looked like a fat pig!’ She was inconsolable.”

Isn't this where we're all supposed to go, no, honey, you don't look fat at all! We love you just the way you are!

Yeah, I thought not. We wouldn't make very good husbands.

(For the record, I have said that she doesn't look fat, at least not according to any reasonable understanding of the word "fat." If Britney is a fat pig, then I am an obese hippo. But I deal with my imagined hipposity by not wearing itsy-bitsy sparkly skank outfits. Britney needs to put on something that fits properly and get over it. Now, can we talk about something else already?)

Oh, not for for calling the Irish Twins accidents. Sean Preston and Jayden James were born one year and ONE DAY apart. Their pictures are practically on the morning after pill.

No, Sarah owes us a refund or some fresh material. She busts out that hairless vagina lip impression every chance she gets. Where's the new yoni joke? Please Sarah. Maybe something with your tongue, or a demonstration with your fist in your mouth. Something new.

Even Britney mocked Sarah later that night. Who's sorry now?

The Britney Spears Defense Team: Elisabeth Hasselback, Chris Crocker and Me

Warning: Waaaaaay not safe for work, close your door or get your earphones. And be prepared for vivid, emotional venting with smudged makeup.

The whole "Britney's So Fat Show" thing has been bothering me. She was a lot of things at the VMAs -- sloppy, uncoordinated, possibly drunk and probably drugged. But I didn't look away from that train wreck thinking, "Boy she is fat now!"

Yeah, she's bigger than when she was puking back up every bag of Cheeto's, and doing those legendary 1,000 crunches a day. And far be it from me to frivolously agree with anything Elisabeth Hasselbeck says on The View, but she did just have a couple of kids. In very rapid succession. Shoot, even if she didn't have a couple of kids, she looks better than 99% of the folks on the beach over Labor Day weekend.

But don't just take it from Elisabeth and me. Britney's best defense comes in the form of Chris Crocker. He's a real fan. He loved her before the VMAs, he loves her even more after. And he'll cut you -- no really, he made an official death threat to the haters -- if you don't leave her alone. In the video above we see Chris post-VMAs, visibly, uh...mmm...moved. In the video below, well, if I worked for TMZ, that video would have me quaking in my boots. Compelling viewing, but I invite you to decide for yourself.

Update: The defense team grows! Kelly Mills over at sister site Strollerderby is now sitting bench with us, too.

Britney Spears at the VMAs: Finally, Sean and Jayden Get To See What Mommy Does For a Living

Unless you've been living under a rock you know by now that Britney Spears is set to open the MTV Video Music Awards tonight in Vegas. Not that Kanye West gives a crap. No matter - Britney's been hanging out with new BFF Diddy. Talk about being a bad influence! I'm talking about Britney, not Diddy.

I'm going to break rank here and actually wish Britney well tonight. While sons Sean and Jayden are knocking back Cokes and watching the show with their nannies, I hope Britney gets up on stage with a decent weave, keeps her clothes on and lip-synchs her heart out. At least her kids will know that mommy gets paid for something other than going out for coffee and flashing her muffin.
