"Scary Spice" Mel Brown blew away the audience tonight with a high energy dance.

Dressed in a gorgeous shimmery leopard print dress, she looked fantastic and full of spunk. The judges loved her as did the audience and Bruno said, "I know you're a feisty kitten!" She was awesome and this Mom to 8 year old Phoenix and new baby Angel Iris definitely one to watch.

When asked how she felt about the man leading, as it is in ballroom dancing, she replied, "Dreadful!" She is known for being a woman who likes to be in charge.

Melanie Brown Says Things Aren't What They Seem

Mel B. has finally addressed the stories concering her wife-beating husband, swearing he is not some psycho. She's afraid that her friends and family might believe that Stephen Belafonte is the monster the press has suggested.

According to The Mirror, she admits she was devastated by revelations that he had battered ex-girlfriend Nicole Contreras but still defended his reputation, explaining that he has had group therapy and counselling.

She says: "Everything I stand for is about being a strong, independent woman (is that what Scary is supposed to be? I thought she was supposed to be like Gene Simmons, but with more make-up), so for him to be seen as a wife beater is devastating for me because he's not - he never has been... They're trying to make him out to be this aggressive, violent, woman batterer and he's not. If you read those police reports, they never say he physically beat up a woman."

Oh, it's a technicality! I get it. He wasn't married to Contreras, so how could he be beating his wife? The media needs to be careful throwing labels like that around. Just because you hit one woman doesn't mean you're a bad guy, right?

Now duck-beater? That's a different story.

According to IMDb, Eddie Murphy, you know, the one that got away, is turning the tables on Melanie Brown and threatening legal action is she doesn't shut the hell up. He has accused Scary of extortion and defamation and has issued a cease and desist against Brown, insisting she quit talking about him to the press. Murphy accuses Brown of "disseminating disparaging, negative and defamatory statements" and making highly "unreasonable extortionate demands" concerning their daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown. Murphy's lawyer Marty Singer, has stated that Brown demanded Murphy purchase her a $9 million house in Malibu, California for her to reside in for the next 18 years, at which time she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and... just making sure you're still with me.

Sounds like they've made up nicely, doesn't it.

Melanie Brown Doesn't Waste Any Time Wasting Eddie Murphy's Money

Ch-Ching! Veuve Clicquot for everyone! Just days after Eddie Murphy caved and offered up some mula to Scary Spice for the cost of the pregnancy and the raising of their child, Angel Iris Murphy Brown (I never get tired of that name!), she decided to celebrate. Why not?

What's funny is that Mel B. gets a nice check from her own day job, which isn't to excuse Murphy at all- he should pay, but these celebrities talk about needing money like a crackhead talks about needing a rock. How much does it cost, exactly, to raise a kid in their world? Not only does she have millions of her own money, but Murphy will be paying her an amount that is presumably more per week than most people make in a year. Angel Iris better be wearing mink diapers.

Makes me want to have Eddie's baby.

By the way, has anyone ever seen a can of Corona Light? It's amazing what money can buy.

Eddie Murphy Admits Defeat, Considers Opening Daddy Day Care for Own Offspring

Cue "Axel F", there's finally some action from the Eddie Murphy camp (not to be confused with Daddy Day Camp, the sequel to Daddy Day Care, Murphy was in the latter). Eddie Murphy publicly acknowledged that he is the father of Melanie Brown's baby, but just the newest one! Scary Spice had filed a paternity suit against Murphy earlier this week over the child, Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

A statement issued by Murphy's publicist said that he "always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father.

"Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort," the statement said, referencing a statement that Mel B. made to the contrary. "He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy."

It concludes by saying that Murphy "views this as a private matter, and as such, will not be making any further comments about it." This in addition to not making any comments about it prior.

A DNA test in June confirmed that Murphy is the father of Brown's baby, and he was listed as the father on the birth certificate.

It's about time. Although I was kind of hoping for something more dramatic, now that it had been built up so much. I kind of saw it going down ala Luke and Darth Vader, but whatever. At least he owned up.

It is nice to know that little Angel won't starve or be neglected, nearly having to survive on Melanie's salary. That was a close one.

Eddie Murphy Becomes a Bigger Jackass by the Minute

Donkey! What the hell, Ed? First Eddie Murphy allegedly plans a baby with Melanie Brown and then ditches her when she became pregnant. Then he denies the baby is his. Then he takes a paternity test that proves she is his. Then he proposes to a different lady. Then, wait, I mean now we find out that despite everyone in the world accepting the obvious (and legally proven) fact about his being the baby's daddy, that he has yet to officially acknowledge it.

Now he's in danger of going to court with Melanie Brown. According to CBS she is seeking sole custody of Angel Iris Murphy Brown and what her attorney, Gloria Allred, called "reasonable child support" of the 4-month-old baby.

"We will let the court decide what is reasonable," Allred said.

I have a guess, millions of them actually.

When Stephen Met Scary

Mel B., aka, Scary Spice is going to marry film producer Stephen Belafonte (that may or may not be Mel's daughter, Phoenix, with them- thanks to reader Katie). Apparently they've been dating for two months, but have been friends for 7. Scary credits Stephen for "being there" for her during the Eddie Murphy mess, adding that Murphy has not contacted her once since the baby, his baby, was born.

I gotta hand it to Stephen, he put in his time, hanging out in the "friend zone" for seven long years, just waiting to play the sympathy card and slide his way in. That's the classic romantic-comedy move. Everyone knows that men and women can't be friends (according to When Harry Met Sally), so this had to happen sooner or later.

Cue the Van Morrison.

Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown gets no respect. She arrived at LAX just hours after Posh, and the paparazzi welcome was not even a slice of what the Beckhams got. She has her baby, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, with her, whose name rules by the way, and now that Eddie Murphy is proven to be the father, that story has died down too.

She should play the manny/bodyguard/boyfriend card like Britney. That's keeping her in the papers. Here, I'll start.

Eddie Murphy to Submit DNA Sample in Court Today

A judge ordered Eddie Murphy to appear in court today and provide the DNA sample that will determine whether or not he is the father of Melanie Brown's infant daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown. Melanie was also ordered to be present in court today, and will be face to face with her tramp of an ex for the first time since he dumped her on live Dutch television.

Ed has continually denied that the baby is his, while Mel has steadfastly maintained that he is the only possible father. Word on the street is that Mel spent yesterday preparing for her day in court by hanging with her old pal Victoria Beckham and her camera crew (look for the footage of the ladies on Vic's upcoming reality show), while one can only presume Eddie spent the day preparing to have his ass handed to him like a hat.
