Reese Witherspoon Multi-Tasks On The Baseball Diamond

Reese Witherspoon's a busy lady. Thankfully, she's good at multi-tasking. Does it look like she's just idly playing ball with her 9-year-old daughter Ava here? Well, she's also preparing for her next role.

It's a good thing that Reese has somebody to play catch with, because she'll need all the skillz she can muster in her upcoming role as a professional softball player. The yet untitled James L. Brooks flick will reportedly feature Witherspoon along side the legendary Bill Murray and funnyman Paul Rudd.

I'm guessing Reese will have no problem making selling herself as a pro-baller, since she's already a quasi-jock. Supposedly, Reese finds time to do yoga and run 3 miles every day -- all while keeping track of a 9 and 5-year-old. I wish I could do that.

Bill Murray's recent marriage breakup isn't keeping him down, that's for sure. Murray, 58, just had dinner with Crystle Stewart, 27-year-old Miss USA 2008. Crystle is one of the latest contestants in beauty pageants to fall down while competing.

After their dinner together, Murray was clearly happy outside the restaurant. A bunch of female fans came up to him and Murray gave them all kisses. He even jokingly made out with one of the ladies.

Bill was married to Jennifer Butler for 11 years. They have four sons together, ranging from ages 7 to 15. He also has two sons with ex-wife Margaret Kelly.

Don't they look happy?

The happy couple, Bill Murray and Jennifer Butler-Murray are still filing for divorce. This is just an update.

It's turning into a he said/she said battle after accusations were hurled from Jennifer's side of the court accusing Bill of abusive behavior, drug and alcohol addiction, and frequent abandonment. Hi pot, this is kettle...

Apparently there was an incident on March 17th and a police report had to be filed after the police were called to investigate reports that she was shouting very loudly at one of her children. The report from the officer states, "I spoke with [Jennifer] and advised her of the complaint. The w/f [white female] seemed to be very impaired and didn't want me on her property anymore, she slammed the door and I left the residence." The report continues, "I then had the complainant meet me at the police station to talk with the juveniles. They informed me that their mother had been drinking heavily and had [become] physical with them."

Is she crazy, doesn't she know violence will never win out? Isn't she devestated that her kids, ages 6-15, didn't trust her not to hurt them and they had to go to the neighbors for protection? Thank goodness for nosy neighbors!

You've probably heard that Bill Murray and his wife Jennifer are getting a divorce. This was breaking news when I started writing this post, and then I started watching a hockey game- it just ended. That was 5 days ago.

I figured I better get to it before the NBA Finals tip-off.

Everybody's favorite meatball is being accused by his wife of being abusive towards her and a plethora of vices- drugs, alcohol and sex. It's ugly.

The couple have four children, which makes it all the tougher. Hopefully Bill can sort out whatever issues he has soon. I'm ready for a Stripes 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Malibu Fire: Don't Worry - Britney Is Safe!

In spite of the fact that the Malibu fire has destroyed several structures, caused many evacuations and continues to burn out of control, we can all breathe easy - Britney Spears is not in danger! TMZ is reporting that the fire is still a fair distance from Spears' home and that she hasn't been evacuated. Put out that cigarette, Britney!

The situation looks a little more dire for some other celebrities who own homes in the area - Olivia Newton John and James Cameron have already been evacuated. Other celebs who live in the vicinity of Carbon Beach, one of the areas in danger, are Jennifer Aniston, Sting, Bill Murray, Nick Nolte, Robin Wright Penn, Mel Brooks, Howie Mandel, Tatum O'Neal, Rob Reiner, Goldie Hawn, Linda Ronstadt, Jeff Bridges, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Tom Hanks.

Tia Carrere and her cute daughter Biana, rocking the tie-dye. Looks like Biana is got tired of shopping and had to hitch a ride with her dad, Simon Wakelin. I always thought of Tia as a metal girl, and Wayne would totally approve of her orange camo-T, like the one Bill Murray wore in Lost in Translation. I guess she's also open to the whole Grateful Dead hippie thing, too. That makes her daughter kinda Garth, but hey, he's very popular in his way.
