Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane Divorcing

"Medium" star Patricia Arquette and her actor husband, Thomas Jane, are getting divorced after just two years. Naturally, the papers show "irreconcilable differences," as expected. Together, Patricia (40) and Thomas (39) have a 5-year-old daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope.

While this is Thomas' first marriage, it's Patricia's second. Previously, she was married to Nicolas Cage. "Medium" is set to return to NBC some time this season. Thomas, best known for roles in "The Mist" and the original "Punisher" movie, he'll next be seen this year in his directorial debut, "The Dark Country."

Always sad to hear about a celebrity breakup, especially when children are involved. But surprising? Yeah, not so much.

J-Lo and Marc Not Getting Divorced

Will they or won't they? First reports of a pending divorce, now J-Lo and Marc Anthony are letting the world know it's not true. J-Lo's rep says, "There is no merit to the article in the New York Daily News."

Doesn't help that Jen showed up at the L.A. premiere of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" without her wedding ring. Or Marc. The couple have twins Max and Emme, so I hope it's true they're sticking together. But I'll tell you what, come February, if it's announced that they're splitting, I'll never believe another word from J-Lo's rep.

And it's all but confirmed from the couple themselves, but it looks like Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are all set to be divorced come February in the new year. According to the NY Daily News, a friend of the couple says:

"Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc’s show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14. Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell."

J-Lo and Marc are parents to 10-month-old twins Max and Emme and renewed their wedding vows in October. Apparently, the ceremony didn't rekindle the couple's marriage, though, so the 4-1/2-year marriage is all but over.

Sad.

Reese, Jake, and Get Musical for the Holidays

With Christmas less than a week away, Reese Witherspoon, daughter Ava Elizabeth Phillippe (9), and boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal went to Ava's holiday concert Thursday. Jake even brought Ava a bouquet to congratulate her.

Reese is also a mom to Deacon Reese, 5, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. Reese can currently be seen in the movie "Four Christmases" with Vince Vaughn. She also has an animated film coming out in March called "Monsters vs. Aliens." She voices one of the characters along with other big shots like Paul Rudd, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Colbert, and Keifer Sutherland.

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat, and all that jazz. And Reese Witherspoon is preparing for the holidays just like the rest of us...except she has tons more money and can probably get a Wii Fit without batting an eye. Sometimes it's good to have connections.

Reese shares custody of her kids - Ava Elizabeth, 9, and Deacon Reese, 5 - with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. "I'm very lucky in that we raise our kids to just be happy," says Reese, 32. "I think the most important thing is the children. What do they want, what makes them feel comfortable?"

She and Reese still talk a lot, of course. She talked a little about her marriage, too. "I had a certain idea what I thought marriage gives, but sometimes it doesn't work out that way so you have to be open to whatever comes your way in life. Love and relationships take all kinds of shapes and it's not necessarily the ones you recognize."

Um, yeah. OK. That's a really long, convoluted way to say "shit happens."

Reese has a new movie coming out November 26th called "Four Christmases," which costars Vince Vaughn. I won't be seeing it because, well, it has Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn in it. Shut it. Did you SEE "Fred Claus?" "The Breakup?" He hasn't done anything decent since "Wedding Crashers."

Here's a shocker: a celebrity marriage that's gone bad. Just two weeks after saying, "I Do" in a lavish island wedding, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds have split.

The newlyweds/newly-splits tell People magazine, "After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”

Huh?

According to a wedding guest, the honeymoon got off to a rocky start. "Eddie started yelling at Tracey in front of people. He did it on a few occasions and it was very embarrassing."

Guess Eddie "defined" their relationship alright. On a "spiritual level" that is.
