Gorgeous little Matilda Ledger, daughter of the late Heath Ledger, was out and about in Brooklyn yesterday. With nanny at her side, Matilda went climbing up a metal fence and had a blast skipping along the sidewalk.

Matilda's mom is Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams, 28. Michelle was in "Brokeback Mountain" with Heath, which is where they met and fell in love.

I love the mother/daughter look they have going on - parkas with pants tucked into matching boots. You know, I tried this with my tween girls, but people kept trying to throw a blanket over me. I guess they just didn't appreciate my belly-baring crop top and hip huggers. Or maybe it was the Jonas Brothers backpack. Whatever - people are so judgmental.

Rumors swirled following the January death of Heath Ledger, that he was depressed and seemed moody and withdrawn on the set of the Batman: Dark Knight movie, however costar Gary Oldman says that is not so. And Ledger often spoke of his little girl, Matilda Rose and it was evident that she was the apple of her father's eye.

Says Oldman, who plays Lt. Jim Gordon in the film, "Because he died people want a dark story [that] he was so obsessed with the character, he was so contaminated by the Joker and he couldn't sleep and all of that stuff.

"In between takes he would sit on the curbside and smoke a cigarette and laugh and talk about his daughter Matilda. I thought he was just a beautiful kid. I thought he was just wonderful. I had a real affection for him."

Aaron Eckhart, who plays District Attorney Harvey Dent in the movie said, Heath would "gush" about his daughter, "Heath showed me pictures of [Matilda]...[he] would come in and say she did this and she did that."

Echkart said that the 28-year-old actor did relish in his role as the Joker, "He really created his look. That character - Heath loved so much. He really cared about the Joker."

Christopher Nolan, director said Heath was perfect for the role, as he was looking for someone "truly fearless."

"[For] those who knew him and those who had the privilege of working with him, it's pretty amazing the disparity between the person he was and the monster that he created for us.

"To see that being created from this very gentle person is a real testament to his skill as an actor."

Another source, close to Jake's sister, Maggie said: "Maggie and the family love Reese. (She) is exactly what they want him to be with. They love that she has her own thing going on. She's isn't about being with Jake for any reason except she loves him."

A pal said: "Their closest friends think they will eventually marry. Reese just wants to make sure their lives make sense together before they do. They keep saying 'one day...' and smiling. When the time is right, he will propose.

"I wouldn't be surprised if an engagement happens any day now but nobody finds out for months."

Next we'll be watching for that Reese Witherspoon "baby bump!"

Heath Ledger's uncle Hadyn Ledger had recently claimed that his late nephew may have fathered a "love child" about 11 years ago, however, that is not the case. Or so it seems.

According to the woman with whom he had allegedly had an affair, it's a baseless accusation. It was claimed that Heath was 17 and the woman was 25, and she discovered she was pregnant after their relationship ended. It's not clear if the woman is denying just the fact that the child is not his or if there was never any "affair" at all.

She told the Daily Mail, "I'm not answering anything. I think it's very, very rude that I'm being posed all of this. I really do. I can't talk about anything. You have no proof, there's no background, there's no grounds, there's no nothing."

Her husband says, "We knew it would flare up and that is the point of my talking and the simple thing is we will do a DNA test.

"I'm a step-dad, but there's nothing to hide... and if I asked [the mother] I'm sure that she wouldn't mind [to have a DNA test]."

So I guess there's no half sister for Matilda Rose. But it sure is less complicated as far as the fights over Heath's estate go.

Heath Ledger is father to Matilda Rose - with actress Michelle Williams. However, the deceased actor may have another daughter.

Ledger's family believes that their late loved one fathered a secret love child. Haydn Ledger, Heath's uncle has said he [Heath] had an affair with an older woman when he was just 17-years-old. The woman is believed to have found out she was pregnant after she and Heath ended their relationship. She was living with another man at the time of their alleged affair.

Haydn Ledger said, "There is a very real possibility that Heath was the father." As of recent, there's been a dispute over Heath's will and his reported earnings and who will actually get the bulk of his estate. If he did indeed father another child, that could put a whole new spin on the already complicated situation.

Another family member said of the alleged affair, "She had the baby. Everyone lived under the assumption that (the baby) was the daughter of the mother's boyfriend, and that is how she has been brought up." The woman in question is now married with a young family. She's quoted as saying, "I have my children to think about. I really can't comment."

I guess if this "love child" turns out to be Heath's daughter, Michelle Williams will have to decide if she wants her daughter's half sister in their lives.

It was bound to get ugly eventually, wasn't it? It always does. I mean, did anyone really believe that it was going to be enough for Heath's family to just say that 'Michelle and Matilda will be taken care of' and then march away with his entire estate?

Michelle's dad sure didn't. He's accusing the Ledger family - Ledger's dad, Kim, specifically - with concealing the extent of Heath's assets.

According to TMZ:

Michelle Williams' dad has leveled an extraordinary challenge at Kim Ledger, Heath's dad, demanding that he account for all of the late actor's assets.

Larry Williams, a famed futures trader, tells Australia's Sunday Telegraph that he thinks Kim and family "certainly haven't stated all of the assets" belonging to Heath when he died in January. Larry is "perplexed" that docs filed in a New York court said that Heath had only $145,000 in assets when he died.

"It's real simple," said Larry. "Just come clean with everything. He just has to say where the income went and where the assets were."

Which, yuck. On all counts. Yuck for the Ledgers to be at all non-disclosey about Heath's estate, when the future of his daughter is at stake. And yuck for the Williams to be publicly calling them on this. NOT going to be good for the mood at future family barbeques.

How despicable can people be? There are cons who are reportedly selling fake mementos of Heath Ledger in LA souvenir shops. There are posters from his final film The Dark Knight and "signed" photographs of the late actor - but they're not legit.

The Ledger family is said to be furious (and rightly so!) that anyone could do such a thing. A source close to the Ledgers said, "[Heath's family] are appalled and deeply saddened that Heath's name is being used to hoodwink genuine fans. They're furious that pirates are cashing in on his death."

A spokesperson for Warner Bros has indeed confirmed the claims and said to the Daily Star, "We are horrified by these acts of theft and fraud. Fans are being duped. There are no Dark Knight posters or memorabilia connected to the movie on sale yet. We are investigating how they have been pirated."

It's been just over 2 months since the Australian actor passed away at the age of 28 in his Manhattan apartment of an accidental overdose. He left behind 2-year-old Matilda with his ex-fiance, Michelle Williams.

How sad and unfortunate that anyone could do such a thing to the memory of a wonderful actor and person. Hopefully the persons responsible will be caught.

After it was revealed in Heath Ledger's will that the late actor had left everything to his parents and sister, his family quickly spoke out and stressed that the will pre-dated Ledger's relationship with Michelle Williams and the birth of their daughter Matilda. Heath's father Kim Ledger issued the following statement:

"Matilda is our absolute priority and Michelle is an integral part of our family. They will be taken care of and that's how Heath would want it to be."

Ledger's rep also wanted to dismiss any rumors that Williams and Matilda, 2, wouldn't be provided for. "The story is getting taken out of context and media is speculating that this means Matilda and Michelle will not be taken care of. I want to make it very clear nothing could be farther from the truth."

Details of Heath Ledger's will have been made public as reported by the New York Daily News. The will states that everything he owned goes to his parents, and three sisters. Ledger passed away on January 22 from an accidental overdose.

Heath had filed the three-page document back in the spring of 2003, two years before he met Michelle Williams, with whom he would eventually fall for and have a child with - Matilda Rose.

Documents reveal that the Brokeback Mountain star had less than $145,000 in New York assets at the time of his death. He had a $25,000 Toyota Prius and $20,000 in furniture and accessories. However, those amounts do not include the Brooklynn townhouse that he and Michelle shared, any cash in trust funds or any property he may have had in Australia.

An estate specialist said, "If [Ledger and Williams] had jointly held assets, those are not subject to probate. It's just not required."

Although there were no provisions for his ex fiance and his 2-year-old daughter Matilda, I'm quite certain that Heath's family will make sure they are taken care of.

Michelle and Matilda Rose have been living in the Brooklyn brownstone after they returned from Australia following Heath's memorial. Williams and Ledger bought the brownstone together back in 2005 after the filming of Brokeback Mountain.

Williams has been left devastated by her former fiance's death and has cancelled several public appearances. She's obviously not ready to face the public yet. She seems to find some comfort in getting back to familiar surrondings and doing every day things with her daughter.

Although Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal's Brokeback Mountain characters weren't number one - they did make the Top Ten Best Movie Couples list. They portrayed gay cowboys in the 2005 film. I thought it was one of the best movies I've ever seen andI wish Heath was still on this earth to share his talent.

Shrek and his sidekick Donkey are in the first place spot according to a recent poll. Both characters were popular in all three Shrek movies. Shrek is voiced by Mike Myers and Donkey done by Eddie Murphy. Julia Roberts and Richard Gere tied for first place for their pairing in Pretty Woman (my fav).

Other's including Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing and Homer and Marge Simpson from last year's box office hit, The Simpson's movie.

Colin Farrell says that he's honored beyond measure to be taking on one of the three roles that will replace Heath Ledger in "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus," but painfully so.

He says he accepted the role as a tribute to Heath. "It's about getting Heath's work out there. He's too good for any of his work not to be seen," Colin told Sydney's Daily Telegraph. "It makes me feel uncomfortable to think about it too much but it's an incredibly painful honor to have, you know, and an honor I wish wasn't bestowed, but an honor nonetheless."

The other actors who are taking over Heath's role are Johnny Depp and Jude Law. (Note: all of the actors playing this role? ALL dads. Go dads!) They will each take over playing Tony, Heath's character, when he steps through a magic mirror into an alternate reality at several different points in the film.

I, for one, am thrilled that we'll get to see a Colin-Johnny-Jude sandwich - of a sort - but, yeah - the cost of it was far too high.

Naomi Watts and Heath Ledger broke up some years ago, but she was nonetheless devastated by his death. She made her first public appearance on Saturday night - at a film fest that featured a tribute to Heath - but was unable to make it through the evening without breaking down in tears.

Naomi was at the Tropfest Film Festival in Sydney, Australia, to judge and present awards at the annual event. But she broke down when a video tribute — a complilation of clips from Heath's films, including Brokeback Mountain and Candy — was aired, reports Page Six.

Produced by film director John Polson, the tribute included clips from all of Ledger's movies including Brokeback Mountain and showed him presenting an award at Tropfest while music played in the background. "The Australian film industry lost someone very special a few weeks ago. He was gentle and had a humble spirit. We send our deepest regrets to his family. He's an incredible loss," Polson said.

The actress - who had earlier flown into Sydney with her baby son Alexander - had cancelled her appearances at the Sundance Film Festival after hearing of Ledger's death. She had dated the actor for two years after they met on the set of Ned Kelly.

Michelle Williams is mourning the loss of Heath Ledger, her ex fiance and father to her daughter. That also means she has to be both "mom" and "dad" to her little girl. Michelle will have to be strong during this difficult time and as Matilda gets older, she'll have lots of questions to answer. Right now, Matilda is only two and obviously not able to grasp the situation.

A friend to Williams said to Us Weekly, "Michelle was always really vulnerable, so this has shaken her quite a bit. She's mourning and trying to figure out what to do next."

"Michelle and the family are showering Matilda with love right now to cushion it so she isn't really aware. Michelle basically told Matilda, 'Daddy went away.' Matilda still doesn't grasp it."

Heath and Matilda were often seen walking around New York, Matilda perched on her daddy's shoulders. Sad that Heath's little girl will never experience that again.

The family of Heath Ledger is planning to hold a wake for close family and friends at Cottesloe Beach in Perth on Saturday.

Reportedly Heath's dad, Kim said that the family wanted to honor him at one of his favorite places - the beach where he grew up and learned to surf.

Ledger had even talked about this beach on an appearance on the Jay Leno Show in 2002. A childhood friend, Paul Mullert said to the Australian Times Heath was "the quintessential Australian, who loved nothing more [than] slipping on a pair of boardies and his [flip-flops] and heading to Cottesloe Beach."

Only hours after the results of Heath Ledger's autopsy showed his death to be accidental due to a toxic combination of prescription drugs, the Drug Enforcement Agency has gotten involved and will be investigating Ledger's death.

A statement issued this morning by the Office of the New York City Medical Examiner declared Ledger's death "the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine," and concluded the manner of death an "accident resulting from the abuse of prescription medications." The 'abuse' was reported to have taken the form of a toxic combination of the drugs, rather than an overdose, and the DEA wants to know who prescribed those drugs, and how Heath ended up with such a toxic combination. Did the prescriptions come from one doctor, or multiple doctors? TMZ reported that it spoke to three clinical psychiatrists, all of whom said it would be "highly unusual" and "reckless" for one physician to prescribe this combination of meds, and suggested that more than one doctor would have to have been involved.

According to officials, the DEA has requested copies of Ledger's autopsy as well as the original police report from the crime scene.

Few can understand the hollow, wrenching, and enduring agony parents silently suffer when a child predeceases them. Today's results put an end to speculation, but our son's beautiful spirit and enduring memory will forever remain in our hearts.

While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage.

Our family enjoyed an extremely happy two week visit with Heath just prior to the New Year. Those recent precious days will stay with us forever. We as a family feel privileged to have some of his amazing magic moments captured in film. To most of the world Heath was an actor of immeasurable talent and promise. To those who knew him personally, Heath was a consummate artist whose passions also included photography, music, chess and directing. We knew Heath as a loving father, as our devoted son, and as a loyal and generous brother and friend.

We treasure our beautiful granddaughter Matilda (to our dear Michelle) as well as an unbelievably wonderful network of close friends, forever, around the world. Families rarely experience the uplifting, warm and massive outpouring of grief and support as have we, from every corner of the planet. This has deeply and profoundly touched our hearts and lives. Heath Ledger's death on January 22 was due to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs the New York City medical examiner's office reported Wednesday morning.

"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine," spokesperson Ellen Borakove said.

"We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications," the two-paragraph statement said in its entirety.

Is this creepy, exploitative, spooky, or all of the above? Some crazy-assed church in Nigeria (no, NOT the Church of Scientology; they haven't infiltrated Nigeria because, um, Nigerians have no moneys) is claiming that their 'prophet' prophesied the death of Heath Ledger - now known to be from an accidental overdose - after seeing it in a vision.

According to the Synagogue, Church of all Nations website:

“I (Prophet TB Joshua) was shown in a vision in the morning concerning a personality that would go on a long journey – a journey of no return. So we lift up our voice and pray. If it is the will of God, let the will of God be done. A personality, a famous person, a well known person that would just leave this earth and go on a journey forever. It is a personality that is not old. People still want him. We have to pray that the will of God should be done.”

These were words of prophecy uttered by Prophet T.B. Joshua in The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, Lagos Nigeria during the Sunday Service on the 13th January 2008.

He later referred to this particular prophecy the following Sunday, 20th January 2008, saying:

“Remember the message I gave last Sunday. I don’t want to repeat it because it is not something to be excited about. It’s in the record. I will not stand here and begin to repeat that message again. If there is something to be excited about, I will repeat it. I just want to remind you. Let’s come together. On Tuesday, you have to fast and pray”.

On returning to their various homes, those that switched on their television sets were met with BREAKING NEWS. Heath Ledger, the renowned, popular, Academy Award-nominated Australian actor was found dead in his Manhattan apartment, New York City. As they watched, shocked by these events, they must have recalled the message of prophecy spoken by Prophet T.B. Joshua the previous Sunday.

I'm enough of an agnostic to simply disregard any and all claims of prophecy, but I'd have to go a step further here and say WTF?
