'Bout Time: LAPD Investigating Sam Lutfi

Finally, the long arm of the law is reaching into the snake hole to pull out Sam Lutfi. TMZ is reporting that scumbag Lutfi is being investigated by the Major Crimes Division of the LAPD for allegedly drugging Britney Spears. Sources say that Britney's conservators accuse Lutfi of drugging the pop star as a way of keeping her under his control.

Britney's mom Lynne recently told the court that on the night she arrived for an intervention at Spears' home, Lutfi openly admitted to grinding up pills and putting them in Britney's food. I guess you can hide anything in a bag of Cheetos.

Lutfi or course, could not be reached for comment. He was off somewhere shedding his skin.

Lohans Need Therapy: Who Would Have Guessed?

Newsday is reporting that the entire Lohan family has been ordered by a Long Island judge to attend family therapy. It was unclear if "entire" included "adult" daughter Lindsay, who is currently going through rehab. Maybe you heard.

The therapy would set the stage for Michael Lohan, fresh from jail, to build a stronger relationship with his two youngest children, ages 11 and 13, you know, now that he's rehabilitated.

The judge also ordered that Michael Lohan be granted more phone contact with the two children. I'm guessing they would rather text, but whatever. He's just hoping to get in their top 5.

Britney Spears is/has a Crazy Mother...

According to AHN, Britney Spears is filing a restraining order against her mother. She is taking this step to keep her mom, Lynne, away from her two sons. She claims that her mother is abusing prescription pain medication and Britney doesn't want her spending time with her boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

This concerns me, because who would be with the boys then? I see hundreds of pictures of Britney every day, and do you know why we don't use them here at FameCrawler? Because she never has her kids with her. She has Uggs, nipples and big, stupid glasses, but no babies.

Not only is she mad at her mother for having an alleged problem, but she is deciding to shun her rather than take the steps to help her like Lynne and (gulp!) K-Fed did, sort of, when the tables were turned.

She blames her mom and K-Fed for putting her in rehab, yet she still lets her boys (and her girls too, nudge, nudge) go over to their daddy's place without concern. Which is, of course, concerning. As you can see, I have nothing but concern for this family. Actually, I really am concerned for the boys. I hope someone steps up and provides these kids some shelter and a bit of sanity.

The scary thing is I'm looking at you K-Fed.

Kelly Ripa's Knee Could Take Out An Eye

Keep your toddlers and pets away from Kelly! It's clear from this picture posted over at Celebrity Moms that she needs to eat a cookie or slip into some protective knee pads. When bones stick out that far it means your body finished eating your muscle for fuel and is dipping into the marrow. If Kelly gets any more 'rexy looking we're starting rehab watch. Shoot, even Nicole Richie seems healthier (At least today - tomorrow is another meal to keep down and bump to leave on the back of the toilet.)

At least she feeds her kids. Ten year old Michael's leg is bigger than Kelly's. He sure is cute, glaring at the paparazzi. I bet little Joaquin will also grow up to be protective of his mom. Maybe if they ask her to eat it will make a difference.

I'll just call them Violet's parents. Here they are strolling through Santa Monica's famed Farmer's Market. No farmers were harmed in the making of this post.

You'll notice that Ben has resorted to the classic "stroller is for stuff, not kids" routine that many of us have faced at one time or another. The stroller, a Chariot Carrier ($695), would just block the Robeez Boots (in lavender, $37) anyway. Those boots are made for showing.

Basketball Babies

Bruce Bowen, of the San Antonio Spurs (leading Cleveland 2-0 in the NBA Finals) and his wife, Yardley, added a second boy to the squad this past weekend. Son Ozmel joins nearly two-years old Ojani on the Bowen bench.

"My wife is doing well and the baby is well," said Bowen, "What a gift during quite a time."

The Spurs won the NBA title in 2005, the same year that Ojani Bowen was born. Daddy is hoping this birth works out in similar fashion.

"I hope that's prophetic," he said.

What makes the timing of the birth even more interesting, for those of us following along at home, is that Bowen is matched against LeBron James in the series, who is also expecting the arrival of his second son any moment.

"I'm expecting," said LeBron. "Well, I'm not. That would be kind of weird."

At least the loser won't go home empty handed.

Matt Damon: The Travels of Isabella

Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, have been taking baby Isabella all over the place. That's a purse that you can see, but I assume she's in the stroller (Bugaboo Frog, $759) too. Of course she could be off visiting another country, which would make 12 countries in twelve months.

According to Matt, little Isabella is quite the globetrotter, but has slightly more hair than Curly.

Angelina on Brad: I'm So Lucky

Brangelina, oh, how you mock my life. Yet finally, according to the lovely Angelina, Brad has attributes that the common man can also aspire to, and should. No, not the abs- got those, thanks. I'm talking about his being a good father and a romantic partner. That's doable right?

She proclaims herself "lucky" to have such qualities in a man. Me, I think they should be par for the course. If you ladies married some slob without an ounce of romance in his body, then I hope you kept the receipt. What's life without embracing the passion of it? As for being a good father, kudos on that. Again this should be commonplace, yet sadly is not. I think that Jolie feels extra lucky because, say what you will about Brad Pitt, the guy ain't creepy.

Remember, it wasn't that long ago that she was carrying around a vile of Billy Bob's blood. Then there are other romantic links that are too bizarre for these pages. Of course she feels lucky. You don't go from Slingblade to Booyah! without feeling a touch of the luck. Of course being hot herself may have helped.

But enough of that, the bottom line is we kid about the baby-saving machine that is Brangelina, but let's face it, at the end of the day they're doing a good thing. Those little kids won the lottery, and I'm not just talking money, honey. I'm talking about love.

See, romance isn't hard.

Bjork in Britney's Corner

"Singer" Bjork feels Britney's pain. It is sharp and twisting, oh wait, that's the swan dress. She does say that she feels for Spears and her attempt at balancing a child, celebrity status and a musical career.

She says that it was hard for her, back when she was famous, and eventually led to her attack on a reporter that tried to approach her son. That's probably why Britney never takes her kid anywhere, for the safety of the reporters.

Bjork says that she was able to deal with it because she was able to move away, and that Spears doesn't have that option. What the hell does that mean? Of course she can move. She just won't.

Nicole Richie Also Considering Jail

Nicole Richie, all 7 pounds of her (with glasses), made an appearance on Letterman last night to talk and, you know, be seen. Dave, ever the curious type, wanted to talk about everyone's favorite jailbird, Paris Hilton.

Nicole hasn't been able to visit Paris yet, but has spent hours trying to fit a file into a piece of celery for when that moment comes. I'm hypothesizing of course.

Letterman brought up the fact that Richie is having some legal trouble of her own, and may also be facing jail time. She answered, ""I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, and you know, of course, I'm scared also, but you know, I'm willing to face whatever consequences come my way and I take responsibility for what I've done." You know.

In Hollywood DUI is the new black, and Nicole may be a few steps behind Paris in following suit. What else is new? Said Richie about Hilton and the media attention surrounding her legal issues, "Sometimes people just get exploited. I can only hope that doesn't happen to me." Guess what? It's going to, just like you ~~don't~~ want.

I can't help but wonder if this is just another attempt by Nicole to "fit in" with the other kids. Rehab? Check. Pregnant? Maybe. Jail? Looking good. The only thing Nicole has going for her is that she would be able to leave jail anytime she wanted just by turning sideways and slipping through the bars.

Get it together girl, and for the love of Mike, eat something. No matter what your friend tells you, this mess, it ain't hot.

In Between Tequila Shots, The Hoff Fights For His Kids.

The battle continues between David Hasselhoff and his ex-wife, Pamela Bach, for custody of their two daughters, ages 14 and 16. You may recall that we recently were treated to a video of The Hoff, drunk off his ass and trying to eat a cheeseburger off the floor of his Las Vegas hotel room. That video was shot by his daughters and one of them can be heard on camera begging her father to stop drinking.

Hasselhoff lost visitation rights with his daughters for two weeks after the video became public. And here's something even grosser than your uncle downing a six-pack and asking you to pull his finger - Hasselhoff claims that the tape was actually part of his 'recovery' and that his daughters filmed his drooling, slurring, drunken episode because he asked them to.

Did I mention Hasselhoff is trying to get custody?

In another bit of irony, Hasselhoff is one of the judges on the NBC show "America's Got Talent."

The Kids Are Alright

It's the teens and up that are freaking nuts. According to the The Bakersfield Californian, the "tweeners", no relation to "tweakers", are the group of kids in the 8-12ish bracket, and they are not impressed with the pantyless coke-heads that are filling every aspect of the airwaves. I know, I know, we're talking about them too, but we're making fun of them. That's different.

Britney shaves her noggin and the kids don't go all Sinead on us, but instead question why she didn't donate her golden(?) locks to charity. Lohan gets busted, again, and the kids don't put three coats of cover-up on their freckles, no, they think she's stoopid {sic}. They're right.

Of course, these kids are still pretty influenced by their parents, but the outlook is promising. I hope they don't outgrow the sense to keep it real. You know how they do.
