This Makes Me Want To Smack Elisabeth Hasselbeck Upside The Head (Figuratively, But Still)

I don't have anything personal against Elisabeth Hasselbeck, I really don't. I'm not sure what it is, exactly, that she has to offer the world, but I also wondered that about Star Jones, so whatever. So I generally don't pay much attention to the crap that she spews. It's not crap on a level with the fecal spewage that escapes the likes of Ann Coulter, so it's pretty easy to ignore.

But then she had to go and start spouting nonsense - apropos of nothing at all - about the reasons that women get abortions, and as much as I tried to plug my ears and chant LA LA LA LA LA LA to block the grating din of her asshat opinion, I just couldn't STOP. THE. NOISE.

According to Elisabeth Hasselbeck, it should be difficult for women to get abortions. Women, she says, get abortions for superficial reasons. If abortions were harder to come by, then women wouldn't just, you know, kill babies for no good reason.

As Whoopi Goldberg so astutely pointed out in response to Hasselbeck's nonsense, unless girlfriend has been in a position where she's had to contemplate such a decision - because of poverty, because of social sanction, because of sexual assualt, because of lack of support, because of fear, because of any one of the innumerable, painful reasons that pushes women and girls to make such a terrible decision - she can just shut her mouth. It is the very, very rare woman who makes that decision lightly, and it is the very, very rare woman who leaves that decision lightly: most women go into it gripped with sadness, and come out of it the same way, save for whatever measure of relief has been afforded them for being able to escape circumstances that they feared would be far worse. Nobody wants to get an abortion, Hasselcrack. It's not a weekend in Vegas. Oh, hey, I think I'll go get an abortion this weekend - I could use a coupla days of rest, and I didn't want this baby anyway!

It's one thing to be 'against' abortion (which is fine, but isn't everybody 'against' abortion in the sense that we all wish that it didn't have to happen? Nobody is FOR abortion; they're for the right of women to access it if they need it); it's quite another to suggest that women who get abortions are vapid, self-absorbed twits.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a vapid, self-absorbed twit. Whether she's an evil one, or a stupid one, I haven't quite figured out yet. I'll keep you posted.

S-Fed Keeps It Straight, 4 Realz Y'all

Sean Preston Federline, according to Us Weekly, hasn't been affected by his momma's crazy. They quote Britney Spears from her website "[I'm] feeling more at peace. Now recently I find with my children that I want them to have that feeling all of the time."

I have no idea what that means. I'm not sure if Britney does either, or she might actually try to spend some time with them. Then again, maybe that peace comes for S-Fed when Mommy ain't around, in which case he does have that feeling all of the time. That's heads-up parenting right there.

According to AHN, Britney Spears is filing a restraining order against her mother. She is taking this step to keep her mom, Lynne, away from her two sons. She claims that her mother is abusing prescription pain medication and Britney doesn't want her spending time with her boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

This concerns me, because who would be with the boys then? I see hundreds of pictures of Britney every day, and do you know why we don't use them here at FameCrawler? Because she never has her kids with her. She has Uggs, nipples and big, stupid glasses, but no babies.

Not only is she mad at her mother for having an alleged problem, but she is deciding to shun her rather than take the steps to help her like Lynne and (gulp!) K-Fed did, sort of, when the tables were turned.

She blames her mom and K-Fed for putting her in rehab, yet she still lets her boys (and her girls too, nudge, nudge) go over to their daddy's place without concern. Which is, of course, concerning. As you can see, I have nothing but concern for this family. Actually, I really am concerned for the boys. I hope someone steps up and provides these kids some shelter and a bit of sanity.

The scary thing is I'm looking at you K-Fed.

Never Mind The Haters: I Still Think That Bridget Moynahan Is Smokin'

The last time that I did a post about Bridget Moynahan, a number of people came forward in the comments to state, ever so helpfully, that she's not that pretty, that she really should put on some make-up, that she had obviously tried to trap Tom Brady with this pregnancy and that Tom is much better off with Gisele.

To which I can only say, phooey. And, shouldn't you be doing something more useful with your time, Tom Brady?

Even decked out in sweats and scowling at the camera, as she is in the above picture, Bridget is hot. Even without the merest lick of make-up, Bridget is hot. Even without a manwhore-asshat football player on her arm, Bridget. Is. Hot.

So let me say it again, slowly this time, so that all the Tom Brady fans can understand: Bridget. Moynahan. Is. One. Smokin. Hot. Mama-To-Be.
