Danny Gans, Las Vegas Entertainer of the year 11 times in a row, died in his sleep early this morning.

Danny was found by his wife and a call was made to 911 this morning at 3:44 am because he was having trouble breathing. He passed away before the emergency services arrived.

Danny was known and loved by many. He is survived by a wife and three children and many friends.

The lights in Las Vegas will be a little dimmer due to the loss of the popular showman. Our hearts go out to his family, he will be missed.

Natasha Richardson's Fight For Survival Revealed on 911 Tape

Just hours after Natasha Richardson's deadly ski fall, the 911 tapes reveal she appeared "disoriented, with signs of confusion, a concussion." Canada's Globe and Mail got hold of copies of the 911 tapes, showing that Natasha's condition seemed mild at first.

She refused treatment initially, also shown in the tapes, but by mid-afternoon she began having severe headaches and medics were calling her condition "dangerous." Within 45 minutes of the next 911 call, Natasha was hospital-bound in an ambulence.

A medic says that just before 4 p.m., Natasha was still verbal, though her orientation rating was zero, meaning she didn't know where she was, what day it was, or what had happened to her, pointing to a serious brain injury.

Natasha died from her brain injury March 18 at 45 years old. She left behind husband Liam Neeson and two sons - Michael, 13, and Daniel, 12.

World's Most Potty-Mouthed Grandpa Dies: RIP George Carlin

The world has lost one of it's funniest and most filthy-mouthed rabble-rousers. George Carlin - who, in addition to revolutionizing cursing, lent his voice to numerous children's shows - died of heart failure yesterday.

Carlin's routine on the "Seven Words You Can't Say On Television" led to a 1978 Supreme Court ruling upholding the government's authority to sanction stations for broadcasting offensive language during hours when children might be listening. Carlin also - and the perverse irony of this has always delighted me - lent his voice to such children's programs as Thomas the Tank Engine and the movie Cars.

The world is a lesser place without him. Rest In F*cking Peace, George. RIFP.

Heath Ledger's close friend Vincent Fantauzzo painted a portrait of the late actor and father and it's won the People's Choice Award at Australia's Archibald Prize Exhibition. And the painting is absolutely amazing!

A large number of people voted - more than 32,000. A rep for the Art Gallery of NSW, said the Ledger family and Vincent will donate the prize-winning portrait to the gallery.

Mr. Fantauzzo received a $2,500 and $1,000 gift certificate with his award. He issued this statement on his website:

I would like to say thank you to those who have emailed with kind words regarding my recent portrait of Heath Ledger. I feel privileged and inspired to have known him and my thoughts are with his family.

The painting called "Heath," was done at Ledger's family home in Perth shortly before the 28-year-old actor died.

Are your kids Batman fans? Are they crazy about The Joker character? Better get in line if you want a Heath Ledger "The Joker" doll - they're selling like hotcakes!

Toy stores all over New York have line-ups, people waiting to pick up their very own plastic action figure of Heath Ledger as The Joker. The toys are selling out like crazy.

Bob Friedland, a spokesman for Toys 'R' us said, "We are getting these products, all of the Dark Knight action figures, on a regular basis." However, he may be trying to down play the sellout. Stores are apparently running out quickly. An employee for Toys 'R' Us said, "There are none left in the warehouse, either. You will be waiting a while if you want one."

Many other NY stores are still waiting for shipments. The doll retails for $9.99 but there have been some sold on Ebay at much higher prices. One doll reportedly sold for $55 (as a set with an other doll).

I wonder how strange it will be for Heath's daughter Matilda when she gets older, to see a doll of her daddy?

Batman: The Dark Knight is slated for a July 18, 2008 release.

Michelle Williams and Matilda Rose have reportedly been hounded so much by the paparazzi, that the mother and daughter are being driven from their home in Brooklyn, NY.

Fox News is claiming that the former fiance of the late Heath Ledger is constantly bombarded by the paparazzi and has not been able to live her life in peace with daughter Matilda, 2 1/2. The actress is considering leaving her NY neighborhood.

When Williams and Ledger were together, they were known as "pillars" of their Brooklyn community. Ledger eventually moved out and returned to Manhattan. He passed away in January of this year.

Hopefully, if Brooklyn is where Michelle's heart is, and where she wants to continue to raise Matilda, the paps will back off and let them peacefully exist and live a "normal" life.

Actress Michelle Williams, former fiance of the late Heath Ledger says she's haunted by his ghost.

Heath, 28, died in his SoHo apartment, of an accidental overdose in January, and Michelle has told friends that she's been visited twice by his ghost - appearing as a "shadowy apparition."

The first time it happened, she was awoken at night, claiming to hear furniture being moved. The second time - she said Ledger apologized to her for not being there to help her raise their 2 1/2 year old daughter Matilda Rose.

Michelle has said that the "hauntings" have helped her grieve.

This gives me chills - I'm not sure if I'd be freaked or comforted.

I'm no great fan of Charlton Heston's. I've never seen Planet of the Apes, and I don't own a gun, so there's really never been anything for me to get all fanned up about, with the possible exception of his portrayal of Moses, which, when you think about it, wasn't all that great anyway, what with his overt WASPiness and the lame special effects and all. Still, his death is a sad thing. He was someone's dad, and someone's grandpa, and I'm sure that his family doesn't give two hoots about whether Grampy was a tad too enthusiastic about the guns.

So, RIP Mr. Heston. Godspeed to Heaven and all.

The most recent edition of Interview magazine devotes an entire spread to tributes to the late actor, who is lauded for being a great father, a gifted actor, and an all around awesome guy. Did you doubt it? A sampling:

Amy Pascal: "He was always introducing you to 3,000 mates whose names you can’t remember."

Philip Seymour Hoffman: "Heath didn’t have the cynicism that this business can eventually put upon people, or the pretension that certain artists can carry with them sometimes. He had a really honest quality about him. He obviously had never lost his wide-eyed optimism."

Sean Penn: "Heath was not simply a quiet and gifted actor who liked to go surfing, though that is how I primarily knew him in life. In the time we spent together, we spoke a bit about family, about travels, but most of all, about film.Yet, in his unassuming way, he never revealed to me the visual poet of the first order who I discovered watching the film clips he directed, music videos and such, after his death. It's been almost 2 months since actor Heath Ledger passed away - accidentally overdosing on prescription meds. And for the first time, Michelle Williams - his ex fiance and mother of his daughter Matilda - speaks out. Also, another past love of his - Naomi Watts - has only kind things to say about him. Here are excerpts from Interview magazine:

Michelle says:

"For as long as I'd known him, he had bouts with insomnia. He just had too much energy. His mind was turning, turning, turning - always turning. He had an uncontrollable energy. He buzzed. He would jump out of bed.

"I think that the interesting thing about Heath, which maybe people have only really fully discovered in his death, is how vulnerable he was. You can pick up on it in his performances, but it’s easy to overlook because he was so physical and beautiful and strong and masculine. But there was always that underlying sensitivity. That’s who he was."

She remembers the time following Matilda's birth as the best of her life:

"The first six weeks of our daughter's Matilda's life was this incredibly insular, protected time.

"It was just he and I and her, living in our new house in Brooklyn. No nanny, no help - not really even any family. A couple of friends came through, but we were really committed to forming a bond just between the three of us. And then that bubble got broken with work.

"Brokeback Mountain was going to come out and the press stuff just started rearing up. But those six weeks were just blissful."

What Naomi, 39, had to say:

"His acting was just so touching, so connected in truth. I think he was just getting started.

"That's the deepest tragedy in terms of his work - he was just beginning to own it and embrace it."

It's still so sad.

Yesterday Sassy wrote about Michelle Williams interview in Wonderland Magazine, an interview that was done BEFORE Heath Ledger's death in January. Today I bring you a few more quotes from the same interview, where Michelle talks about her future.

"Obviously so much has changed for me in the last few months that I don't really have an idea of what my life is going to be," Williams told the magazine.

"I thought I knew certain things and it turned out that I didn't, so I don't really try and anticipate so much anymore.

"I'm not making any bets on the future."Williams talked about how she has had to adjust since her breakup with Heath Ledger:

"There's been a lot going on in my personal life and part of me is ... I don't know. I shouldn't talk about it but it's like I'm re-emerging back into the world or something," she said.

One good thing that came from the breakup was the fact that she has been getting less attention from the paparazzi (until Heath's death).

"I have to say it's suddenly got a lot easier, like, in the last couple of months," she said.

"When you're in a relationship with somebody who is also a public personality then it doubles the attention from the media.

"When you minus that equation it's just less enticing. That's been a real bonus. It's the plus side of the break-up for me."

As for raising daughter Matilda on her own, "It's not easy," she said.

Williams said while working six days a week last year filming Incendiary with Ewan McGregor in London she made a special effort to ensure she and Matilda spent quality time together.

"My only days off were Sundays and as much as I'd want to pass out, I'd try to take her out somewhere fun so she didn't associate me with boredom," Williams said.

Perez Hilton thinks so. He's reporting that Anna Nicole Smith's former bodyguard has more or less confirmed it in an interview with Access Hollywood:

According to Big Moe, Anna told him that due to Birkhead's "lifestyle" there would be no strings attached. "What's his lifestyle?" Access Hollywod's reporter asked. "Well, she told me that, you know, he was a homosexual," Big Moe said. "She knew deep down that he didn't want to be with her."

I'd chalk this up to wishful thinking on Perez's part, but hey - he got the story from Access Hollywood, so.

Either way, who cares? He's not really a catch for either sex. Well, maybe for Perez (oooh, snap!)

After an emotional and touching memorial to Heath Ledger at his favorite beach in Australia, his ex fiance and daughter make their way back home.

Michelle Williams and little girl Matilda, are back in the U.S. to begin their lives without Heath. Williams tells Matilda that "Daddy went away" in an effort to explain why the 2-year-old cannot see her daddy. Until she's older, she won't grasp the situation. Michelle will have to keep Heath's memory alive for her child and hopefully Matilda will realize how much she was loved by her father.

Hundreds of mourners joined Heath Ledger's family Saturday morning local time at a memorial in Australia. Michelle Williams and Cate Blanchett were also there.

Kim, Heath's dad said, "It's a pretty sad time. We're finding it difficult to cope." About the funeral: "The funeral will be very, very private. There will be only 10 people there, which is my immediate family and nobody else."

Michelle and Heath's family arrived in a fleet of black BMWs. Williams was wearing dark glasses and holding the hand of Kate, Heath's sister. His parents and other family members arrived shortly after. Matilda was not seen.

It's reported about 300 people attended the memorial - including model Gemma Ward, Bryan Brown and Australian Rules football players Ben Cousins and David Wirrpanda, who were all friends of Heath's.

Larry Birkhead has posted a memorial - with a little message from him and Dannielynn - to Anna Nicole over at his website. It's basically a sweet little personal message and, um, the picture shown above.

I don't know. I mean, it's sweet and all to memorialize your dead former lover and mother of your child, but that picture? Just a tad creepy as a death memorial, and all the more so with a toddler's name signed to it.

I mean, couldn't he find a pic that was a little less drugged-up-Playboy-centerfold, and a little bit more, I don't know, wakeful mother?

I know; it's the height (depth) of crass meanness to criticize someone's memorial, but still. I'm a bit creeped out by it. Can't help it. Sorry.

RIP, Anna. RIP.

Anna Nicole Smith died one year ago today - and yet, she's still in the headlines, still thought of, obviously by her friends and family, but the general public too.

She was a larger than life icon at times, but was often thought of as being "famous for being famous." She modeled, posed for Playboy, did a few movies, some television shows, was featured in a few music videos, had her own reality TV program, married some really, really old billionaire, was sometimes a trainwreck in the things that she did, battled her weight in the public eye and yet, she still managed to endear people to her.

Perhaps she was a bit misguided at times, sometimes came off like a bit of a nut, but I will say, she was a woman who loved her children dearly. She was predeceased by her son Daniel, who passed away in her hospital room in September of 2006 - just three days after his baby sister, Dannielynn was born.

Most say that Anna Nicole died the day that her son died, or at least her will to really live. She began (or continued) to self medicate and died of "combined drug intoxication."

She left behind her sweet baby Dannielynn, who's father is Larry Birkhead. I hope that Mr. Birkhead gets his act together and stops exploiting his little girl. She will most likely have to endure the public eye when she's grown just because of who her parents are, particularly her mother, so why not let her have a few years without Entertainment Tonight following her?

Rest in peace, Anna, rest in peace.

We're told that "words cannot describe" the pain she is in over the news about the father of her child, Matilda Rose.

We're told she is on a plane heading to NY right now.

How will she tell their sweet girl? It's all so very heartbreaking.

Pimp C Dead

The influential rap artist and member of rap duo UGK (Underground Kingz), Pimp C, was found dead in the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles this morning.

Pimp C, aka Chad Butler, had a long history of involvement in drugs and criminal activity, but was quoted last year as saying that he was working toward producing more responsible, "grown-man" work that reflected his responsibilities to his family and community. A press release issued on behalf of his family said read as follows:

"It is with great regret that I must confirm that Chad Butler, a.k.a. Pimp C, one half of the legendary UGK, was in fact discovered dead this morning.

"Manager Rick Martin is asking that everyone please respect his family and those close to him at this time and refrain from rumors and innuendo.

A formal statement will be released later this afternoon. Thank you all for understanding."

Barry Weiss, president and CEO of Jive Records, UGK's longtime label, said: "We mourn the unexpected loss of Chad. He was truly a thoughtful and kind-hearted person. He will be remembered for his talent and profound influence as a pioneer in bringing southern rap to the forefront. He will be missed and our prayers remain with his family and Bun B. I've known Chad since he was 18, and we loved him dearly and he was a cherished member of the Jive family."

The hotel released the following statement: "Mondrian received calls this morning from the family of Chad Butler inquiring about his whereabouts. Mr. Butler had checked into the hotel on 28 November and, according to the callers, was to have checked out yesterday. Security personnel went to Mr. Butler's room and found him in bed, apparently expired. A 911 call was placed at about 9:20 a.m. and paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced Mr. Butler dead."

Early suspicion was that the death was drug-related, but recent reports from TMZ are stating that it's looking to have been due to natural causes.

Grieving families do what they need to do to get through their pain. That said, the Irwin family continues to demonstrate that they are way down one end of the normal/unusual spectrum. Guess which end they're on?

Okay, here's a hint. Terri, Bindi and Bob start each day with breakfast and a video of Steve. They have a vast library of footage of Steve from his years of shows. Terri can, and will, keep showing videos for years.

Celebration of life cut too short? Or macabre, unrealistic obsession?

One thing is for sure, it really will be hard for her to find someone willing to date her. Oh, also, her kids? Totally screwed up for-evah.

The latest chapter of the sadly sordid Anna Nicole story arrives with a modern twist. In her new book, Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death, former MSNBC reporter Rita Cosby alleges that Birkhead and Stern were the real couple and Anna Nicole their drugged pawn. According to Cosby, the pair manipulated Anna, the media and the public to achieve their nefarious, money-grubbing ends. Ooh, harsh.

Some of the stuff Cosby comes up with doesn't quite add up, like that Anna chose Birkhead to impregnate her because she had an obsession with Marilyn Monroe and he was blond and blue-eyed. Like Anna really understood recessive genes.

It also sounds like the book also talks a lot about oral sex, which is always good for business. The night before it went on sale, the book was already charting on Amazon's Hot New Releases in the biographies and memoirs category, one place ahead of Dog The Bounty Hunter's You Can Run But You Can't Hide.

Getting back to the oral sex, Cosby reports that there is a video proving the sexual relationship between Stern and Birkhead. Well, something tells me there was a lot of "creative" sex going on in the house of that former stripper. A little mix and match coupling probably wasn't a deal breaker for her -- it might even have been a good thing.

But some of the other details, like how controlling Stern was, and how the drugs were flowing freely in that house, are self-evident. Do a gut check on the story (leave out the gay part, which, ick that anyone would do Stern, but otherwise who cares?) about how they made a pact to split custody and control of the money...that strikes a sinister note of truth. The legal team at OK Magazine seems to think so. They just severed ties with Birkhead, canceling a photo shoot that was part of a $1.7 million deal.

I'm sure we'll hear more, and God Save My Eyes, we'll probably see more. (Really, I don't want to see Stern that way with anyone, male or female. Ever.) The NY Daily News just came out with a second leak from the book, this time alleging that Anna blamed Stern for killing her son Daniel. Yes, this story is just getting warmed up.

Does anyone care about Dannielynn in all this? Are we about to experience the Federline Effect with Virgie Arthur, Anna Nicole's harridan of a mother, where these guys are so bad that she winds up looking like the best choice? Oh, Happy First Birthday, poor, poor, rich girl Dannielynn.
