I kinda figured that this particular relationship would last. I mean, I know that a pregnancy very often spells the end of these things - pregnancies being hard to accommodate in some such situations - but it just hadn't occurred to me that this pregnancy would end this relationship.

I mean - whaddup, Chanel? Can't you have a pregnant celebrity as the face of Chanel No. 5? Do mothers not wear Chanel No. 5? Is it not, like, your number one Mother's Day product? Why dump Nicole Kidman now?

Because, for the record, although Audrey Tatou is cute and very French and all, and although I was kind of irritated by those early Kidman Chanel commercials that shamelessly ripped off scenes from Moulin Rouge, I kinda got used to her, yanno? And I was kinda interested in the idea of a pregnant (and, later, lactating and spit-up upon) spokesmodel.

But whatever. That's not your vision. I suppose that I'll just have to live with that. But I won't be asking for any Chanel No. 5 this Mother's Day. Which, you know, I wasn't going to anyway, but still.
