Casey Anthony's best friend says, "I could have saved Caylee Anthony's life. Her smiling little face will haunt me forever." Kiomarie Torres Cruz - best friend of the accused murderess Casey Anthony - gave an interview to the National Enquirer and she says that she should have seen the signs.

Police believe that Casey killed 2-year-old daughter Caylee and threw her away like trash. Kiomarie, 22, a witness for the prosecution in Casey's murder trial, says that Casey never wanted Caylee. She was going to give the baby to Kiomarie, actually, but her mom didn't like the plan so she dropped it.

More sickening news? The place where police found Caylee's body recently was a secret hideaway for Casey. She often used it as a pet cemetery. As girls Casey and Kiomarie would go there all dressed in black, reading prayers for their dead pets. They called the place The Zone.

Back in July, Kiomarie told the police that she suspected Caylee's body might be in The Zone. The cops checked it out but found nothing. But it was last week that a meter reader stumbled across the remains and now they're certain it's Caylee.

The skeletal remains found last week in the woods near the home of Caylee Anthony have been positively identified as those of the missing toddler. A county medical examiner said her death is considered a homicide.

The medical examiner, Dr. Jan Garavaglia, said that DNA tests confirm that the remains match Caylee Anthony’s genetic profile but the findings give no clue as to how the girl was killed. The remains, some of which were as small as pebbles, were discovered by a utility worker on the edge of the Anthony's neighborhood about 10 miles southeast of downtown Orlando.

Caylee's mom, Casey Anthony, was charged with first-degree murder in October in the disappearance of her daughter and recently pleaded not guilty. According to a spokesperson for her attorney, Casey is aware of today's findings but there has been no comment from her or her family.

Caylee Anthony hadn't been seen since June, but her mother didn't report her missing until a month later. The child's grandmother, Casey's mom, called authorities in July to report that she hadn't seen her granddaughter in a month and that her daughter's car smelled like death.

The skeletal remains of a small child have been found in Florida, and speculation is that it is the body of missing toddler Caylee Anthony. Caylee's mom, Casey Anthony, was charged with first-degree murder in October in the disappearance of her daughter and recently pleaded not guilty.

Caylee Anthony hasn't been seen since June, but her mother didn't report her missing until a month later. The child's grandmother, Casey's mom, called authorities in July to report that she hadn't seen her granddaughter in a month and that her daughter's car smelled like death.

The body found this morning was discovered by a utility worker on the edge of the Anthony's neighborhood about 10 miles southeast of downtown Orlando. Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary said it was not immediately apparent to investigators whether the remains belonged to Caylee.

Mandy Albritton, a member of EquuSearch - one of the groups that searched for Caylee in the months after her disappearance - said their volunteers did not previously search the location where the remains were found because it was submerged in water. When they returned in November, the site had been closed off by a fence.

Deborah Smith, one of EquuSearch’s volunteers, had already searched the area three times and said “she had a bad feeling” because Anthony had said her daughter was nearby. She said, “it’s really wet and steep and there’s lots of snakes back there.”

“I do believe it’s (Caylee Marie),” Smith said.

As a parent, my heart aches for this little girl. In my opinion her mother should be held fully responsible for her death and her grandparents are guilty to a certain extent for covering up for their daughter.

Divers searching the area of Little Eonlockhatchee River in Orlando, Florida have found a plastic bag containing small bones and toys. Authorities are still trying to determine if there is a connection between the find and the case of missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Inside the bag recovered today, were two toys and small bones the size of fingers and toes. There was also a shamrock, which is said to have been a favorite symbol of Casey Anthony. The bag was weighted down by bricks.

Caylee's mom, Casey Anthony, was charged with first-degree murder last month in the disappearance of her daughter and recently pleaded not guilty.

Three-year-old Caylee Anthony went missing in June and her mother Casey Anthony has been indicted by a Florida grand jury on a first-degree murder charge. However, there is at least one person who believes the little girl is still alive - Caylee's grandmother, Cindy Anthony. She refuses to believe that her granddaughter is dead or that her daughter had anything to do with her disappearance.

Cindy told TODAY's Meredith Vieira on Wed's show, "I know Caylee is alive."

She said, "I know my daughter. There is nothing in this world that could make me believe that Casey did anything to Caylee. There has never been any child neglect, child abuse or anything. This young lady loves her child, more than I love Casey."

According to reports, there have been "sightings" of Caylee since her disappearance, and now a court ruling now states that authorities have to turn over those reports to the family, that will give them names of the people who called police claiming they've seen the little girl.

Cindy added, "There's a lot of people out there that have seen Caylee. We're going to reach out to those people once we get their names and we're going to go ahead and start tracking them down ourselves.... I know in my heart that we are going to find Caylee before this trial takes place."

However, not everyone agrees with Casey's grandmother. Florida State Attorney Lawson Lamar's office obtained the grand jury indictment against Casey on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter and four counts of lying to investigators about her child's disappearance months ago. She's also facing charges on passing bad checks that she allegedly used to purchase beer and lingerie.

Cindy Anthony said she's been spending as much time with her daughter as she can - she sat with Casey in her lawyer Jose Baez's office.

She said, "I just wanted to be around her as much as I could. We've known that they've been building a case against Casey from day one, and they have not been looking for my granddaughter. Her attorney has been preparing for this since day one."

Cindy Anthony said it's been hard for her daughter, waiting for the indictment. "Not only is she facing the charges, I told her the night before: 'You know, they haven't been looking for Caylee.' She's lost her daughter. Someone has her daughter."

Caylee's grandmother added, "My love for Casey is stronger every day. My love for my granddaughter is stronger every day."

Finally - the mother of missing 3-year-old toddler Caylee Anthony is being held accountable for her daughter's disappearance. A Florida grand jury returned an indictment today charging Casey Anthony with first-degree murder; the state attorney for Orange County said the first count is a capital charge -- which could carry a penalty of life in prison or death.

Caylee Anthony disappeared in mid-June, but Casey Anthony waited a full month before contacting authorities to report her daughter missing. The toddler's grandmother, Casey's mom. called the police in July to say that she hadn't seen Casey for a month and that her daughter's car smelled like a dead body.

While her daughter was missing, Casey Anthony was seen partying at nightclubs and living the life of a carefree single woman, at one point entering a "hot body" contest. She was also accused of stealing a friend's checkbook during this time and forging checks to go on shopping sprees.

Casey Anthony claimed that her daughter disappeared after she had dropped her off with a babysitter, but when police checked out her story they learned that the address that Anthony supplied belonged to vacant apartment. The woman Anthony named as the babysitter said she did not know Anthony.

Casey Anthony, the mother of the Florida toddler who has been missing since June, was arrested again on Friday night on fraud and theft charges. The 22-year-old had allegedly used a friend's checkbook to pay for items at several stores and to write a check for cash.

Anthony was released from jail last week on $500,000 bond where she had been held on charges of child neglect, making false statements and obstructing the investigation into her daughter Caylee's disappearance. Although the 3-year-old hasn't been seen since mid-June, Anthony did not report her missing until July.

A bounty hunter with the California company that helped Anthony post bond says he no longer believes the little girl is alive. "Absolutely not," Leonard Padilla said. He also told ABC News that he now regrets getting involved with the case. "Maybe we got duped a little bit. Maybe we overestimated her."

On Wednesday it was revealed that air samples taken from Anthony's car showed proof that a decomposing human body had been inside the trunk.
