John Travolta - Ready to Testify in the Bahamas

John Travolta is on his way to the Bahamas. He is to testify in the case against the men who tried to extort millions of dollars from him in January.

Two of the men being charged have pled not guilty of claiming to have embarrassing information regarding the death of 16-year-old Jett Travolta.

The trial is expected to last three weeks and this is just not something that any one who has lost a loved one should have to go through. I'm sure he just wants to get it over with and who knows, maybe it will help with the grieving process.

It's just horrible that people want to take a traumatic situation and make it worse by trying to profit off of those in pain.

Dakota Fanning Raves About "Twilight" Sequel Role

Child star Dakota Fanning wants to put on the fangs in the "Twilight" sequel, "New Moon." She's in negotiations to play the vampire Jane in the movie, set to start filming in March.

"I really hope it works out," Dakota says. "It would be a really fantastic experience, I'm sure." Not to mention big money, since "Twilight" did so well in theaters, despite being an utterly crap movie.

Last week, rumors said that Dakota, 14, was offered the role without an audition because Chris Weitz - the director - is confident she's perfect for the part. Jane is a member of the Volturi vampire clan, described as a "petite blonde with a Boticelli angel-like face and crimson irises." Sounds just like Dakota.

Mayim Bialik Considers Acting Return

Mayim Bialik, 33, star of the 80s show "Blossom," is one smart cookie. She left acting to go for her PhD in neuroscience. But it looks like the mom of two is going to return to acting.

"I am actually auditioning and sticking a toe back into the industry," Mayim says. "I am very happy I got my degree and I worked very hard on my theses, but in terms of having kids and the family life we have, academia right now is not where I can go."

Mayim has 3-year-old Miles and 5-month-old Frederick with her husband, Michael Stone.

Travolta Autopsy Leak Has the Politicians Hopping Mad

The politicians in the Bahamas are really mad. They were very surprised by the leak to reporters concerning Jett Travolta's autopsy.

I am not surprised about the leak. I am surprised that no one leaked info on Jett before, I might not have a lot of faith left in humanity though.

The fact that the autopsy was done and reported on before the family was even able to comment on the cause of his death.

Dr. Hubert Minnis (the politician) appeared on the Today Show and said, "I was somewhat amazed that the funeral director or someone leaked the report. It's strictly confidential and the family should be in the position to release the report."

That's the sad, scary part of the internet, everyone else knows your business before you do.

There is a huge outpouring of support for the Travolta family during this time of need. They are very fortunate to have such a large group of fans, friends and relatives. This is a video of Billy Ray Cyrus expressing his condolences to the family.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with John and his family, they're great human beings and strong people. And, again, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family."

The two families became close while filming Bolt.

I feel so bad for the family, I can't even imagine the pain they are experiencing. A parent should never have to bury their child. Ever.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston have had a rough couple of days and they don't need anything else to bring them down.

However, it seems that some people only prey upon the weakness of others, they couldn't even wait a full twenty-four hours to let the tragedy sink in.

There are sites that are taking the fact that Jett was found by his caretaker, Jeff Kathrein, and maligning his and John Travolta's reputation.

A couple of years ago there was a story that Kathrein was/is John Travolta's gay lover. Now it's being said that Jeff Kathrein wasn't qualified to be Jett's caretaker and that he was only around for one thing.

Now whether it's true or not, this is not the right time to be bringing this up. You just don't kick a man while he's down. This is not something this family needs to be questioned about right now.

Kathrein is married to a woman named Ana and they are both Scientologists. Scientology does make gays and lesbians stay in the closet and have traditional boy/girl relationships. Maybe that is something to be talked about, but definitely not now.

John Travolta's Ella Bleu To Be In A New Movie

John Travolta is a proud papa.

His daughter Ella will be getting her first shot of stardom. She will be acting in the Old Dogs with her mom, Kelly Preston.

He said, "I want to see her have a fruitful career and I really think it's time to introduce her, sort of like Will Smith introduced his son. I think this is the right thing for Ella, and Kelly thought it was smart too."

If she really wants to be an actress, then more power to her. However, if they are just pushing her into the business, then I'm not down with it.

Looks like "Blossom" child star Mayim Bialik has given birth to her second child! Mayim, 32, was seeing nursing her baby during her wait for husband Michael Stone and 3-year-old son Milo in LA. TMZ says the baby's name is Fred. Wow, a nice normal name for a celebrity baby. Freaky.

Mayim, by the way? She has a PhD in neuroscience, which she got last year. Now there's a smart mommy. Congrats, Mayim and Michael!

Melissa Joan Hart, former teenage witch and mom of two sons, talked recently to Tasty Baby about her family. Melissa's boys are Mason Walter, 2, and Braydon Hart, 5 months. Hart is the oldest of seven kids...yikes!

She says "I have always made my family come first and now I have my own little family to care for. Helping them become incredible adults is my biggest job now."

Her favorite family tradition: "We go to Disneyland on a birthday."

She also says she's trying to be green, but "it is so difficult with kids. With kids you want everything easy and clean and sometimes disposable stuff is the way to go."

The number one thing she's trying to teach her children: "I want them to try a little of everything and pick what they like when they are older. I always wanted my kids to have every opportunity to get really good at something that could stick as a hobby or career. I have been looking for a hobby my whole life but havent been able to find one."

Sounds like Sabrina has a good head on her shoulders, and is raising her kids to have the same. That's an odd thing in the celebrity world.

Jodie Foster doesn't plan on giving her kid a break when it comes to showbiz. Why? Apparently the only reason he wants to get into acting is for the fame. Becareful what you wish for!

Foster's oldest son Charles had asked her if she would help him snag an onscreen role but the tough mom said that he had to go through the proper channels and also attend theatre school.

Jodie said: "The older one asks me at times if he can appear in a film or on television. I warn him that I'm not going to find him work. He can do theatre after school, if he wants.

"Obviously, he's completely uninterested in theatre. What he wants is to appear on TV. I don't believe that he really wants to be an actor."

I can't say that I blame her - fame isn't all that it's cracked up to be, just ask Britney.

Mom Helen Hunt is more understated, in her white and khaki ensemble. But then, when you're Helen Hunt, you don't have to prove anything. Her IMDB is a comprehensive who's who of classic tv: Mary Tyler Moore, The Bionic Woman, Family, The Facts of Life, Knots Landing, Highway to Heaven, St. Elsewhere, Friends, of course Mad About You, and even an episode of the The Simpsons. But that's just scratching the surface for a real Helen Hunt fan.

Her true glory is in the made for TV oeuvre, with gems like Quarterback Princess (sexism) and Desperate Lives (drugs - PCP!) as well as her Emmy nominated partnership with Jennifer Jason Leigh. From the shame of unplanned pregnancy in I Think I'm Having a Baby to the silent pain of anorexia in The Best Little Girl in the World, Helen and Jennifer taught a generation of us how to be troubled teens.

You know what would be cool? Makena Lei' and the yet-to-be-conceived child of Jennifer Jason Leigh (she married director Noah Baumbach a couple of years ago, it's probably just a matter of time) should star in remakes of their mothers' classic After School Specials. Watch for it, Spring 2021 on the WB!
