Actor Kevin Costner and his wife Christine Baumgartner are proud parents to another son! Baby boy was born Thursday night in Los Angeles, weighing 8 pounds, 15 ounces. So what did they call their sweet new edition?

Costner said he wanted to give his son "a great Western name" and he and Christine chose Hayes Logan. I rather like that!

Hayes Logan joins big brother Cayden Wyatt, 21 months. Kevin also has three grown children from his previous marriage.

Kevin Costner Hospitalized After Fainting

Kevin Costner spent some time in a Los Angeles hospital this week after calling 911 following a fainting spell. Kevin, 53, complained about feeling dizzy while he was driving to a meeting. Paramedics zoomed to the scene to find Kevin puking by the roadside.

The paramedics took Costner to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and kept him overnight for tests. His publicist said, "Mr. Costner experienced some light-headedness while he was driving, was checked out at the hospital and released after tests found that everything was normal."

Kevin has 3 children with former wife Cindy Silva: Annie, 24, Lily, 22, and Joe, 20. He has another son, Liam (12) with ex-girlfriend Bridget Rooney. And of course he has son Cayden Wyatt Costner, 1-1/2, with wife Christine Baumgartner. The couple are expecting another baby some time this year.

Here's to hoping Kevin's okay. He has a new movie coming out this year, "The New Daughter," which is oddly enough a horror film. IMDB.com describes it thusly: "Costner will play John James, a single father who moves to a farm with his two kids after a painful divorce. Soon, his daughter starts behaving ominously, and Dad begins to suspect that the burial mound in a nearby field might have something to do with it."

God, I hope this isn't Pet Sematary 3.

Kevin Costner and Wife Expecting Another Child

Mr. Field of Dreams Kevin Costner has proved once again that his baby batter is potent stuff. He and his wife Christine are expecting their second child. For some reason, they declined to inform Famecrawler of their due date, but a friend of the family does say that Christine has a boy in her belly.

"Kevin and Christine are ecstatic," says the friend. "They feel so incrediby blessed right now, as everything in their life is perfect."

Well, not everything. "Waterworld" still exists.

Kevin, 53, has a number of children already, ranging from ages 17 months to 24. Cayden, the 17-month-old is also with his current wife, and the others are from previous relationships.

Congrats to Kevin and Christine.

Kevin Costner has been married to wife Christine for four years and is a dad once again with 16-month-old Cayden Wyatt. At Costner's age, 53, that's kind of a risky undertaking. The once big-deal movie star says his biggest fear is leaving Cayden to be raised by somebody else.

"I think to myself," he said, "am I going to see him go to college? Am I going to see him graduate? You start doing the math. You begin to look at things that way."

He's got four other children from earlier relationships. They range in age from 11 to 24.

I don't know, I just hit 42 the other day and I'd be hard-pressed to go starting a new family. You have to add 19 years to whatever age you are...and that's just to see your kid graduate high school. There's a reason why babies are for the young.

A Concerned Citizen

There's always that scene in any decent western where the star of the film roles out of whatever sleeping structure the native peoples they've befriended have provided and they're always wearing their long underwear and some sort of gifted footwear. Kate Hudson is that star, although her western is a bit iffy at the moment.

Maybe she's just trying to draw attention from the bump.

Kevin Costner Was Afraid

Kevin Costner had to almost lose the one he loved to see she was worth it. Christine Baumgartner loved Kevin but wanted to have a child and Kevin wasn't having any of it.

He was afraid!!

"For years, fear kept me from marrying Christine. Christine wanted a child, but I was afraid I couldn't be an effective father.
"She said, 'I'm about children. If you want to be with me, if you want to get married, you should know that's part of my make-up.'
"I woke up and thought, 'Am I going to lose a beautiful woman who is willing to be with me to my very last breath because I am afraid to say yes to a child?'
"That's all it took. I decided I was not going to miss out on love."

Good thing he came to his senses, if he didn't, he would have missed out on this.

You can tell she totally adores him and he looks happy! Love conquers all.

The Costner Men and Their Leisurely Stroll

Kevin Costner and his 1-year-old son Cayden went out for a relaxing stroll 'round the block. Cayden opted to go sans shoes, which I applaud. Sure, shoes look cool, but bare feet is what it's all about. Cayden gets it.

Cayden Costner Earns His Keep

Here's a picture of Kevin and Christine Costner's 10-month-old son Cayden from Baby Couture magazine. As you can see little Cayden's modeling career is well under way. It won't be long before we're seeing him in his Calvins on a fifty-foot billboard on Times Square.

I'm not a huge fan of Kevin Costner (did his monotone ruin "Dances With Wolves" for anyone else but me?) But he sounds like a good dad. “I’m proud of Kevin as a father, and as my husband," Christine says. "He’s a hands-on dad, and spends a lot of time with Cayden. He has a softness that I love, and he has boyish play times where a wrestling match could take place. They have a nice balance.”

Awwwww. I take back what I said about his monotone.
