Nicole And Joel Having A Boy?!

Will Harlow Winter be getting a brother in August? According to their friends, just about everything they've bought the baby is blue.

“Joel bought water-based paint for the nursery and — surprise, surprise — it’s blue.”

Not to jump to conclusions or anything, but unless Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are deliberately trying to mislead the media (I wouldn't put it past them), or they just really freaking like the color blue, it sounds like they're expecting a boy.

A different friend is reporting that Nicole has pretty much already let the cat out of the bag by calling the baby "he" repeatedly.

“Plus, she recently ordered some plush animals and infant toys from FAO Schwarz, and everything just happens to be blue.”

I'm not necessarily saying we should trust these "sources," but hey they have a 50/50 chance of being right. Plus, it would be cool for the Richie-Maddens to have one of each.

Johnny Depp in The Night Before Christmas

Are you curious how Johnny Depp spends Christmas? I'll give you a hint, it's much more traditional than his friend Tim Burton.

Actually, he celebrates it the same way I do.

Says Depp when asked about his plans for Christmas, “Hanging out with the kiddies. Wait for Santa Claus.” (see video)

Man, it's amazing how much Johnny Depp and I have in common.

Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter: The Nightmare During Christmas

Tim Burton, the mastermind behind such hits as Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hallow, The Nightmare Before Christmas and the upcoming Sweeney Todd (not to mention at least two movies he has agreed to make for Disney) has a bit of the camp about him. The guy is a big kid with a twist of goth and tons of genius. His girlfriend/baby mama Helena Bonham Carter thinks it's great (so do I).

The couple, who have one child (Billy Ray- not Cyrus) are expecting number two later this month. In the meantime they have been decorating their house, which is actually two separate but now attached homes, for the Christmas season. As you might imagine, there is a twist. Take the tree for instance:

"He decorates it with dead babies and slime balls and things," Carter tells Playboy (via People) in its January issue. "It looks lovely and glittery from afar, and then as you get closer, you realize it's rather gory.

"We're not that dark. What I love about Tim is that he retains a certain innocence and a childlike quality. He sort of forgot to grow up. I think I've definitely forgotten to grow up, which is great."

I wonder if they get Danny Elfman to sing them carols.

Poppy Montgomery's Nursery Designed By Wendy Bellissimo

Without a Trace star Poppy Montgomery is expecting her first baby, a boy, in December and she is excited: "I'm so excited and ready. I feel him moving and kicking and I want to see who he is."

Wendy Bellissimo and Montgomery spent time together designing the perfect nursery and OK! Magazine was invited to see the lovely room. Bellissimo also designed nurseries for Kelly Ripa and Brooke Sheilds.

This lemon and lime design is fresh and inviting. They did a wonderful job!
