Dixie Chick Emily Robison and her husband Charlie have divorced after 9 years.

According to People, "The couple'’s divorce filing states that the marriage had "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.”

Emily and Charlie are parents of five-year-old Gus and three-year-old twins Julianna Tex and Henry Benjamin.

Another Chick in Dixie: Martie Maguire Welcomes Daughter

Dixie Chick Martie Maguire welcomed a baby daughter today. From the Dixie Chicks website:

The Dixie Chicks are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the family. Martie's daughter, Harper Rosie Maguire was born this morning in Austin, Texas. She is a perfect 7lb 10 ounces. 20.5 inches long. Martie is doing very well and Gareth and the family are over the moon.

I've got to say, I dig the name Harper. Of course I have a son named Atticus, so I'm partial to the theme.

Congrats to Martie and her family.

Martie Maguire Expecting Dixie Baby

I think Martie Maguire was doing a little more than whistling dixie. The Dixie Chick and husband, Gareth Maguire, are pregnant with their third child, all girls. They had twin daughters Eva Ruth and Kathleen Emilie in 2004.

Taking The Long Way: Dixie Chicks Candid Interview About Infertility

Two of the Dixie Chicks, sisters Martie McGuire and Emily Robison recently spoke with Conceive Online. Never ones to hold back, the two are very candid about what they went through, and how they felt when Natalie Maines conceived both her kids without problems.

They wrote a song "So Hard," about their experiences and it's on their latest album, "Taking The Long Way." They say they couldn't have found the strength to write the song while in the throes of infertility, but decided until they were successful to sing about it. From the song:

It felt like a given
Something a woman is born to do
A natural ambition
See a reflection of me and you
And I’d feel so guilty
If that was a gift I couldn’t give
And could you be happy
If life wasn’t how we pictured it

The entire piece is well written and a great source of inspiration for those of us who have been through infertility, and perhaps those going through it now.
