If there's any way to make country music trashier, then leave it to Shania Twain and her husband Mutt Lange to make it happen. Shania, 43, mother of 7-year-old Eja D'Angelo, is now dating her husband's mistress' husband! Granted, Mutt was cheating first - his mistress, Marie-Anne Thiebaud - is said to have broken up Shania's marriage of 15 years.

While the couple lived in their private Swiss compound, Mutt cheated with his estate manager, who was married. Classy. Shania and Mutt were friends with the other woman and her family. If that wasn't a betrayal, then I don't know what is. But it doesn't stop there.

Now Shania is dating the hubby or her ex's new girlfriend. She was seen at an airport in Florida recently, having lunch and laughing with the dude. Since there isn't a whole lot of paparazzi coverage in Key West, the couple thought they were safe from the cameras. Not so much.

Mutt Lange denies the affair, saying, "The whole story was just a story as we are just friends in the same way Shania and Fred [Theibaud] are."

Um, yeah. Friends. With benefits.

What a lovely holiday story, eh?

Country music star Shania Twain and her producer husband, "Mutt" Lange announced their split back in May. It was reported that Lange had cheated on Twain with long time friend and personal secretary, Marie Ann Thiebaud, however both denied the rumors. A source close to those involved said, "Mutt and Marie Ann left their spouses for each other and are still in a relationship." Ouch. So how has Shania handled the last few months?

Star magazine writes Shania's 5 Step To A Rockin' Recovery:

#1 Regain your independence:

According to reports, Shania was very much controlled by Mutt in most aspects of her life. A source said, "He would restrict how much Shania could travel, what she could eat, even which friends she could see!

"He was a very jealous guy and didn't like her associating with her male pals. He is a real loner, and as a result, he tried to isolate Shania as well. Now she's making her own decisions again."

# 2 Improve your body and mind:

Shania had lost weight after the breakup says a close pal, but "she pulled herself together, put the pounds she lost back on, and now she looks absolutely fantastic!

"She loves her curves, and she feels sexy and young again." Shania returned to her hometown of Huntsville, Ontario, and kept busy over the summer, playing golf and tennis and doing yoga. The source adds, "She also spent time talking with a spiritual counselor in the months after the breakup. It was a real comfort to Shania and helped her stay centered."

# 3 Find strength in your family:

Shania brought her 7-year-old son Eja with her to Ontario. The friend says, "She's a fantastic mom, and Eja is her rock. He is the secret weapon that really kept Shania going through her darkest days.

"They spent a wonderful summer together, and now that he's back in his Swiss private school, Shania will be going back and forth between Switzerland and Canada."

Shania is also close to her sisters, Jill and Carrie-Ann. "She always has their 100 percent support and love."

# 4 Don't count out romance:

Twain's friend says that although the breakup was hard, she's not counting out finding love again.

"It took a while, but now that she's feeling so much better about herself, Shania has told her pals that she's ready to get back on the dating scene. She'd even consider a younger man!

"She's not ruling out giving love another chance. I think she'd be thrilled to find a man who would appreciate her for who she is and not try to change her."

# 5 Plan that big comeback:

David Scarlett, senior editor of Country Weekly, said Shania's recent standing ovation at the CMA awards was well deserved.

"Not just because of the respect due to the top-selling female solo artist of all time, but mostly for the sincere affection of the country music community and her fans."

The source adds that Shania is working on a new album that will have songs that address her marriage breakup.

Scarlett adds, "Her comeback could be huge!"

Hopefully Shania and Mutt can have a civil divorce and remember to put their son first.

Sexy superstar Shania Twain and her husband "Mutt" Lange announced their split a few days ago. Lange issued a statement to PEOPLE, saying, it was "an unfortunate thing. It's literally just a growing apart, that's all." However, sources close to the couple say that the growing apart was more like a third person involved. How could he cheat on Shania?

An insider says that Mutt allegedly became involved with Marie Ann Thiebaud - she's the woman who managed the couple's chateau in Switzerland and was also a personal, longtime secretary. Now that's low! Says the insider, "Mutt and Marie Ann left their spouses for each other and are still in a relationship."

Lange however, denies the rumor that Thiebaud is the reason for the split, saying, "It's absolutely not the reason [for the separation]." He also denies the affair ever happened. Marie Ann has not made a comment.

I hope whatever the reason for the breakup, this couple can make their separation as painless for their 6-year-old son Eja D’Angelo as is possible.
