Shia LaBeouf's Childhood Plagued By Naked Mom

Shia LaBeouf may seems like a somewhat normal, well-adjusted human being, but just beneath the surface, he may have some deep-seated psychological issues stemming from his mom's addicition to nudity.

Apparently, Shia's parents were dyed in the wool hippies of the most embarrassing and emotionally scarring variety: nudists -- especially his mother.

“The nudity was weird, especially when her friends came over,” he tells Playboy in their June issue — on sale May 15. “All of them would just be naked around the house. That was strange for me, and it was really bizarre when my friends were there. You’ve got your little buds over, and Mom’s, like, playing naked connect the dots or whatever. She’s in the middle of goddess-group time, where it’s literally a bunch of naked women tracing auras around one another’s bodies with incense and then sitting together and humming for prolonged periods of time.”

Apparently, there was a lot of openness in Shia's household. His dad smoked pot in the house and he says that's given him a pretty liberal attitude about drug use. He also recently called his mom the "sexiest woman I know."

We've all been damaged by our hippie parents at some level -- either by inheriting their LSD-soaked DNA, or just the weird rituals they made us observe growing up. Still, it sounds like Shia's experience was on a whole different level.

Somewhere down the line, that guy's going to need hours of intense therapy to get over his mommy issues, but at least he can afford it.

Sexy Bridget Moynahan To Star On Eli Stone!

Coyote Ugly, sexy, single mama Bridget Moynahan has just signed on to star in ABC's Eli Stone! It's not known how many episodes she's slated for, but her first appearance on the show will also feature singer Seal.

Moynahan will play character Ashley Cardiff, who is an heiress from a big oil family, and she'll be trying to rectify the destruction that her father's company has done to the environment.

Actress Katie Holmes will be making her Eli Stone debut as well. Two sexy, working moms!

The show premieres on October 14.
