Cindy Margolis Understands Infertility

Cindy Margolis was shocked at how trying to become a mother took her on a "long, rocky, and sometimes heartbreaking journey."

She needed IVF to help her have her son, Nicholas, and used a surrogate mother to have twin daughters, Sabrina and Sierra.

She decided that because her journey was so difficult, she would write a book about the effects the difficulties can have on your psyche. She says, " Doctors don’t really focus on telling you how emotionally draining it can be and they don’t (or at least didn’t in our experience) talk much about how hard infertility can be on your self-esteem and your relationships, they also don’t prepare you for how much harder you will have to work to build your family than the couples who can get pregnant naturally. I wanted to change that. I wanted to talk about those things, answer those questions and remove the stigma of infertility that seemed to keep me from finding the support we desperately needed in our own journey.”

It seems that infertility is so much more common now. Those struggling are so fortunate to have so many options to turn to in trying to fulfill their dreams for a family.

Ice Ice Baby: Jennifer Aniston Has Frozen Her Eggs

Her ex Brad Pitt may be off with Angelina Jolie and their five thousand children, but don't count Jennifer Aniston out of the baby race yet. According to the Star, the actress has had her eggs put on ice until ~~a suitable sperm donor~~ her one true love comes along.

Before putting her eggs in deep freeze Aniston had reportedly considered other options, including adoption. "Her friend Sheryl Crow turned her on to the idea of adopting, but in her heart Jen would like to have her own child. She just needs the right man — someone she can trust.”

Here's a thought: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter Suri was rumored to have been conceived using the frozen sperm of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Maybe if some of it got mixed with Jen's eggs, they'd produce a Thetan baby that couldn't stop humming the Friends theme.

Swathed in more fabric than an Arabian princess, Katie Holmes looked polished and poised as she and hubby Tom Cruise attended the Broad Contemporary Art Museum opening at at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Saturday in Los Angeles.

By polished and poised, I totally mean evil and strange.

Tom Cruise Is No Threat To Andrew Morton

Andrew Morton's book has hit bookstores and he's not at all afraid of the rabid Cruise lawyer. In the past, if a journalist or reporter poked around they were threatened with a "you'll never work in this town again," type of thing.

Morton, a free agent, didn't feel threated in the least:

“However, I’ve already been terrorized by the best. Besides Brit tabloids who tried to blackmail my research, Diana brought me the full weight of the entire royal establishment. They were rabid dogs. Threatening me with the Tower Of London.

“But I wasn’t worried about losing any career job. They couldn’t use pressure to fire me because I’m a free agent.” Morton adds that Cruise should be grateful his book killed the gay rumours that have plagued the star throughout his career:

“Actually, with me saying in the book that he’s always had women in his life and that he’s not gay, instead of hassling me, his lawyers should be sending me cases of whiskey.”

Playboy's Hot List: Who's included on the Sexiest Female Celebrity list? You'd be surprised! Here are a few that topped it:

'Real woman body' chick, Jennifer Love Hewett made it with her real woman curves (good for her!).

Um, Britney Spears made the list. I know, huh right? Perhaps the voting readers haven't seen the news lately. Or read the paper. Or been online. Perhaps they've been living in a cave? Or... maybe it's the sexy British accent she uses now.

Christina Aguilera made it. Like duh. Have you SEEN her boobage lately? Pretty hard to miss.

Jessica Alba. She's not always the most articulate girl or perhaps doesn't seem like the brightest bulb, but she's hot and that's all that really matters.

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner's three blonde girlfriends - Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson - made the list too. Isn't that like cheating? Whatever. I guess if they have to have sex with an 108 year old man, then sure, put them on the list to make up for that. Wait - I forgot - they CHOOSE to sleep with grandpa. (and possibly have his baby, um, yuck.)

Who snagged the number one slot? Angelina Jolie. She wouldn't be my first choice since I'm not into chicks with creepy veiny arms. Or actually chicks in general.

Holly Madison Confirms Baby Making In The Works With Hugh Hefner

With the help of fertility treatments, boys will hopefully still swim for 81 year old Hugh Hefner, as Holly Madison, 28 (far right), is has been looking to capitalize on his little swimmers for a long time. Finally, Hefner is saying yes to Holly's years of begging for a baby.

"We do want a baby. There has been lots of trying! My perfect Valentine's Day present would be a house and a kid."

Hefner, who's 3 girlfriends live in his home with him, insists that Holly is his number one girl, "I love Holly the most. Five or six years ago, she was simply one of seven girlfriends, but... I fell deeply in love with her. She's the relationship that will last the rest of my life."

Holly seems to be genuinely crazy about Hugh too. In an interview last year after rumors of pregnancy were denied, she said, "I want to have kids with Hef in the next year or so... He's the best lover I've ever had."

While Brad and Angelina were stealing lovey-dovey glances and kisses throughout the SAG Awards, Tom Cruise was somber, and looked angry and generic as he presented an award to "No Country for Old Men".

Maybe someone's got a heavy duty case of jealousy, since Angelina seems to be pregnant and Katie isn't.

At the premiere of Holmes' new movie, Mad Money, last night, Katie Holmes gracefully filled her role in the spotlight. WHen asked about Nicole's pregnancy, Katie had this to say:

"I'm so happy for her," Holmes, 29, says of Kidman's pregnancy news. "It's wonderful."

Cruise escorted his wife to the premiere, allowing her to work the press while he walked across the street and signed autographs, according to People.

Apparently he was also this supportive during filming of the flick:

"Having [20-month-old daughter] Suri and Tom [on set] was wonderful," she added. "You think you love to do something and then you have the people you love there. It makes it a billion times better and you didn't realize you were missing that before. It's like 'Oh my God, life can be this good.'"

Are Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes having problems conceiving baby #2? A source says, "Katie is so upset. They both really want another child but it just doesn't seem to be happening. She says they have been trying since last summer. Tom and Katie have decided to go and see a specialist."

Last year, Katie could harldy wait to be a Mom again: "Yes I definitely want more children. We're having the best time, it's so amazing. We have so many kids in our house, there's always this wonderful chatter and this great noise of kids.

Tom is a great father so it came as no shock when we had Suri he was amazing with the baby."

Tom has also made no secret of his love of parenthood, recently saying: "I wanted to be a father all my life. It is truly amazing."

She demonstrated all the things involved in IVF to Oprah yesterday, including stabbing herself with a needle on camera. When asked if Mama Stewart helps with the bills, she was very honest in saying "I'm very lucky."

And while Martha is footing the bill to knock up her 42 year old daughter, even Martha says Alexis was "silly for waiting."

Taking The Long Way: Dixie Chicks Candid Interview About Infertility

Two of the Dixie Chicks, sisters Martie McGuire and Emily Robison recently spoke with Conceive Online. Never ones to hold back, the two are very candid about what they went through, and how they felt when Natalie Maines conceived both her kids without problems.

They wrote a song "So Hard," about their experiences and it's on their latest album, "Taking The Long Way." They say they couldn't have found the strength to write the song while in the throes of infertility, but decided until they were successful to sing about it. From the song:

It felt like a given
Something a woman is born to do
A natural ambition
See a reflection of me and you
And I’d feel so guilty
If that was a gift I couldn’t give
And could you be happy
If life wasn’t how we pictured it

The entire piece is well written and a great source of inspiration for those of us who have been through infertility, and perhaps those going through it now.

Ryan and Trista Sutter, of "The Bachelorette" fame (*cough*), are the proud parents of Maxwell Alston Sutter, born 7 weeks ago and introduced this week on the pages of Us Weekly.

Us Weekly, I'm guessing, is wishing that they'd gone with a Britney story this week, but whatever. At least this news is good news.
