Yay! Congrats to Raphael and Claudine!

It's funny to think of Robert De Niro in the role of a baby talking grandpa. I'm sure he dotes all over them though, gruff grandpa or not.

Rob Lowe Won His Battle in Court

Rob Lowe's nanny was out of line.

Remember that debacle a few months ago, Rob Lowe and his wife going back and forth in the media about who was wrong. Well it's over, for now. The decision the judge handed down was, her right to freedom of speech was not violated.

Ooh, in your face nanny.

She signed the confidentiality agreement of her own volition, she broke it and now she's in trouble.

She spilled secrets and got in trouble for it. Let that be a lesson to all those that have already signed their agreements.

Loose lips sink ships, and all that jazz.

Robert De Niro Doesn't Pay His Nanny?

Robert De Niro is in hot water with his ex-nanny, she is suing him and his family for $40,000.

The nanny claims that she never, got the 10 vacation days she was promised and ultimately worked more than 750 hours beyond the call of duty without compensation and wants to get paid.

Maybe I should sue my ex-company for all the extra hours I worked, oh wait I was salary, it was expected.

Robet De Niro didn't comment, because he had yet to see the actual suit, though I'm pretty sure he knows what she is talking about and whether it's true or not. I know it's all about the money, but I bet that his 11 year old son feels like he was a burden to the nanny.

How sad! Nobody thinks about the kids anymore.

I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he sometimes portrays not so nice a guy in the movies, it could definitely be intimidating.

Quaid Overdose Case is Closed

As we reported earlier, the Quaids have settled with the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center over a potentially fatal overdose of blood thinners given to their new twins. They're getting $750,000 from the hospital and now the deal is official, as of yesterday. Part of the deal is that Cedars-Sinai won't admit any wrongdoing.

Um, what? I've never understood this crap. You won't say you were wrong but you're going to give me three-quarters of a million dollars? What, out of the goodness of your hearts?

Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone Quaid were given 1,000 times the normal dose of heparin, very easily could have died, and yet they did nothing wrong?! Freaking lawyers. And doctors.

And yeah, the hospital got a fine of $25,000 by the California Department of Health for the error, which is less than a slap on the wrist.

The Quaids have also sued the manufactuer of Heparin, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, for negligence regarding their poorly labeled bottles.

I'm not generally for lawsuits, but I say good for Dennis and Kimberly Quaid. I think if someone screwed with my family, I'd be all over the litigiousness myself.

After over a year of fighting, Dennis and Kimberly Quaid have finally settled with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for the accidental overdose of their twins last year. Two weeks after their twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, were born, they were given a huge overdose of Heparin, which is a blood thinner. They spent subsequent days fighting for their lives.

Well, the Quaids agreed to settle for $750,000. The papers filed in L.A. Superior Court yesterday say, "The settlement is the result of extensive negotiations between the parties and their respective legal representatives, and is intended to avoid the time, expense and uncertainty of litigation." In other words, Cedars-Sinai done messed up GOOD.

The California Department of Public Health also fined Cedars-Sinai $25,000, which seems a pittance for something like that.

The babies are now in fine health, thank God. However, Dennis and Kimberly also have a lawsuit pending against Baxter Healthcare, the makers of Heparin. They say the packaging is at fault, since the adult and pediatric doses look so similar.

What? The healthcare industry making a mistake? Impossible! I can't believe it!

Dennis has another child with ex Meg Ryan...Jack is now 16.

Rob Lowe's Kids Were Terrified

In the ongoing battle between Rob Lowe's family and the nanny new papers have been filed stating the "real story".

Rob and his wife stated that " she terrified their children by discussing gang activity in her neighborhood “in graphic” detail and sharing stories about people having their eyes and limbs cut off. The Lowes also claim that Boyce repeatedly used “racially inappropriate” words and discussed details about her sex life with the children. Boyce is also being accused of using the “n-word” when referring to her African-American friends and making inappropriate comparisons to her boyfriend’s genitals and household objects. Rob and Sheryl go on to claim that Boyce would “self-medicate on Xanax and alcohol.” The Lowes also claim that she would often come to their house with strangulation marks and facial bruising, blaming her physically abusive boyfriend. In November of 2007, the Lowes say that Boyce did not show up for work one day so they filed a missing person’s report and “feared for the worst”. In April, Boyce sued the Lowes, alleging that Sheryl Lowe created a “sexually offensive and hostile work environment” by using the “n-word” to describe Boyce’s boyfriend. She also claimed that Sheryl often walked around “naked, completely exposing herself.” While Boyce did not accuse Rob of sexual harassment, she is holding him jointly responsible.

It sounds like maybe they should have stayed home a little more and done a little more parenting rather than leave it all up to a nanny.

They have quite a few lawsuits against former employees for breach of contract, and other unsavory acts. They might want to check references before they hire anyone else to work for them.

That's why I'm not getting nanny, well that and the fact that I can't afford one.

Katie Holmes, Is That You? "Anonymous" Declares War on Scientology

Tom Cruise, you've been served. An internet vigilante group calling itself "Anonymous" has declared war on the Church of Scientology. Reacting to the recent pulling of the Tom Cruise/Scientolofreak videos from YouTube, the group is retaliating against what they are calling internet censorship. The Church of Scientology is currently pursuing a lawsuit against website Gawker for copyright infringement for their posting of the videos.

"Anonymous" includes computer experts that are already known for causing internet mischief. In recent days the group has defaced websites for local chapters of the Church of Scientology and has also fax-spammed those same offices. To explain their campaign against Scientology, the group has posted a YouTube video putting the Church on notice:

"Over the years, we have been watching you, your campaigns of misinformation, your suppression of dissent, your litigious nature. All of these things have caught our eye.

"We shall proceed to expel you from the Internet and systematically dismantle the Church of Scientology in its present form."

I was hoping there would be some threats to kidnap Katie from the mothership and release her back on earth.

Bad Money: Critics Pan Katie Holmes Latest Performance

The critics have spoken, and they're not fans of Katie Holmes' 'comeback' performance in the new comedy Mad Money. The film, which also stars Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton, was being touted as Holmes' first return to the big screen since marrying Tom Cruise and giving birth to daughter Suri. Looks like Tom's latest on-screen performance is the one to watch these days.

In one of the more caustic reviews, a New York Post critic calls the movie “the most cringe-making return since Love Boat: The Next Wave" and saves his harshest criticism for Mrs. Cruise. “Holmes, with Alice Cooper hair and crazy Jim Carrey eyes, looks terrible and acts worse, unless this movie is unintentionally a lobotomy documentary,” the reviewer writes. “Whatever could have happened to her in the last couple of years to zap the talent out of her like this?”

I haven't seen the movie, but judging by the trailers I have to agree. Did anyone see Holmes in her well-reviewed film Pieces of April? Rent this movie, and tell me that the girl hasn't been brainwashed and talent-washed since then.

Tom Cruise Scares The Crap Out Of Me

Forget Cloverfield, Saw IV, The Eye - those 'scary' movies are nothing compared to the creepfest that is Tom Cruise accepting his Freedom Medal of Valor award. Watch as he tells all us lost souls how he saved America after 9/11 - without even asking for permission! See the freakishly possessed look in his eyes! See the hands gesturing menacingly! Run for your lives!

If you want to give yourself a good scare I suggest you pull up your chair, pour yourself a nice cup of Thetan tea and watch the entire video. I wonder how many tasers it takes to stop an out-of-control Scientologist?

Louis Vuitton Doesn't Like Britney Spears?

Or maybe just the fact that Spears, or rather her "people" used a close up of Louis Vuitton fabric in the pink Hummer used in her 2005 video, "Do Something." *Gasp*

The house of Vuitton (oh don't they sound uppity?) won a case against Sony, BMG and MTV Online (Spears was not named in the actual lawsuit), and the video has been banned on European TV stations. LV was awarded 80,000 Euros (um, not sure how much that is in US funds, what do I look like, a conversion chart?) in damages for the unauthorized use of the fabric. Paaaalease! Usually designers want famous people to flaunt their shit. And Brit was a respectable ~~tramp~~ popstar back then! Go figure. Apparently, the tribunal found the director of said video, guilty of "clearly emphasizing the Louis Vuitton brand." Holy! How awful right? Rolling my eyes here.

The producer of the video was also ordered to pay a crap load of money for damages for "tarnishing" Vuitton’s image (Huh? I mean, sure if it was a 2007 Britney video, ya, get upset, but people, this was when she was hot!) and $1,470 per day until the video is removed from the Internet. Have fun with that task.
