Can you guess which celebrity couple is finally going to tie the knot? I know there are going to be quite a few sad women out there after this couple has a lovely spring wedding.

It's none other than Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.

The rumor is that they are planning to get married in France in the chapel on their estate. "They're a very private couple. It's no surprise they'd want to celebrate at their home."

That sounds beautiful, a springtime wedding in France will be remembered by all who attend. I wonder if I'll get an invite.

Johnny Depp is a family man and loves it.

He says, “I could sit there all day and do nothing but watch them grow. I’m totally inspired by them.”

Isn't it amazing how we all feel the same about our kids? They are truly amazing and the depth of emotion they drive you to feel everyday. The highs and lows, ins and outs.

Johnny Depp is incredibly talented.

Are his kids more inspiring than mine? Maybe they are just a little less frustrating than mine.

Johnny Depp was rumored to be heading to England to film scenes for a new movie in the Antony, Plymouth area. Alas, the rumor isn't true.

Johnny Depp isn't filming there or in the UK at all. He isn't even signed for the film yet either, though he is Tim Burton's first choice for the Mad Hatter.
The Mad Hatter character is supposedly going to be a CGI character, so Johnny, if he signs on, won't even need to be there in Antony, Plymouth or the UK.

I know that news disappointed the fans of Johnny in the area, they'll get over it eventually.

Gasp! Suri Cruise and Violet Affleck have made their first fashion faux pas - caught in public, wearing the same dress. I'm guessing this is their first fashion face-off - so of course, we have to ask, who wore it better?

Suri Cruise was visiting with grandma Kathleen (Katie's mom) over this past weekend, and Violet, 2, wore hers on the Independence Day long weekend. Oh, well, then it's not too much of a fashion no-no if it wasn't even on the same weekend, at the same event. Whew.

I can't pick who wore it best - both girls are equally cute - Suri with her dark hair and that adorable face and Violet with those to die-for dimples. Both celebrity tots are pretty special!

Heath Ledger's close friend Vincent Fantauzzo painted a portrait of the late actor and father and it's won the People's Choice Award at Australia's Archibald Prize Exhibition. And the painting is absolutely amazing!

A large number of people voted - more than 32,000. A rep for the Art Gallery of NSW, said the Ledger family and Vincent will donate the prize-winning portrait to the gallery.

Mr. Fantauzzo received a $2,500 and $1,000 gift certificate with his award. He issued this statement on his website:

I would like to say thank you to those who have emailed with kind words regarding my recent portrait of Heath Ledger. I feel privileged and inspired to have known him and my thoughts are with his family.

The painting called "Heath," was done at Ledger's family home in Perth shortly before the 28-year-old actor died.

Are your kids Batman fans? Are they crazy about The Joker character? Better get in line if you want a Heath Ledger "The Joker" doll - they're selling like hotcakes!

Toy stores all over New York have line-ups, people waiting to pick up their very own plastic action figure of Heath Ledger as The Joker. The toys are selling out like crazy.

Bob Friedland, a spokesman for Toys 'R' us said, "We are getting these products, all of the Dark Knight action figures, on a regular basis." However, he may be trying to down play the sellout. Stores are apparently running out quickly. An employee for Toys 'R' Us said, "There are none left in the warehouse, either. You will be waiting a while if you want one."

Many other NY stores are still waiting for shipments. The doll retails for $9.99 but there have been some sold on Ebay at much higher prices. One doll reportedly sold for $55 (as a set with an other doll).

I wonder how strange it will be for Heath's daughter Matilda when she gets older, to see a doll of her daddy?

Batman: The Dark Knight is slated for a July 18, 2008 release.

It was bound to get ugly eventually, wasn't it? It always does. I mean, did anyone really believe that it was going to be enough for Heath's family to just say that 'Michelle and Matilda will be taken care of' and then march away with his entire estate?

Michelle's dad sure didn't. He's accusing the Ledger family - Ledger's dad, Kim, specifically - with concealing the extent of Heath's assets.

According to TMZ:

Michelle Williams' dad has leveled an extraordinary challenge at Kim Ledger, Heath's dad, demanding that he account for all of the late actor's assets.

Larry Williams, a famed futures trader, tells Australia's Sunday Telegraph that he thinks Kim and family "certainly haven't stated all of the assets" belonging to Heath when he died in January. Larry is "perplexed" that docs filed in a New York court said that Heath had only $145,000 in assets when he died.

"It's real simple," said Larry. "Just come clean with everything. He just has to say where the income went and where the assets were."

Which, yuck. On all counts. Yuck for the Ledgers to be at all non-disclosey about Heath's estate, when the future of his daughter is at stake. And yuck for the Williams to be publicly calling them on this. NOT going to be good for the mood at future family barbeques.

Cons Cashing In On Heath Ledger's Death

How despicable can people be? There are cons who are reportedly selling fake mementos of Heath Ledger in LA souvenir shops. There are posters from his final film The Dark Knight and "signed" photographs of the late actor - but they're not legit.

The Ledger family is said to be furious (and rightly so!) that anyone could do such a thing. A source close to the Ledgers said, "[Heath's family] are appalled and deeply saddened that Heath's name is being used to hoodwink genuine fans. They're furious that pirates are cashing in on his death."

A spokesperson for Warner Bros has indeed confirmed the claims and said to the Daily Star, "We are horrified by these acts of theft and fraud. Fans are being duped. There are no Dark Knight posters or memorabilia connected to the movie on sale yet. We are investigating how they have been pirated."

It's been just over 2 months since the Australian actor passed away at the age of 28 in his Manhattan apartment of an accidental overdose. He left behind 2-year-old Matilda with his ex-fiance, Michelle Williams.

How sad and unfortunate that anyone could do such a thing to the memory of a wonderful actor and person. Hopefully the persons responsible will be caught.

Michelle talks about the birth of Matilda and how she's a New York kid and her greatest prize. She also reveals her guess at who former co-star Katie Holmes was dating back in 2005 when the news broke.

Giving birth to her daughter:

"It's all about water. I was in and out of the bathtub my entire labor -- 24 hours. I don't remember the pain, or the sensation. But I do remember quietly talking to myself and saying, "Okay, you don't have to tell anybody what you're thinking right now. You don't have to tell Heath, you don't have to tell the nurse, you don't have to tell the doctor: You are never, ever doing this again. It can be a secret just for us." [laughs]

I was trying to tell myself, "Remember what I'm saying now. This pain is too great to bear. You won't do this again." And here I am today, and the next one I'll do at home! You totally forget. It's nature's trick."

Her break-up with Heath and her greatest prize:

"All in all, how long has it been? Six months. It's been long and not long. It feels like yesterday and it feels like long ago, but not six months. The distraction of work is utterly invaluable.

About hearing Katie Holmes was 'dating someone':

"I was shocked. Busy [Philipps, another DC co-star and Michelle's close friend, now 5 months along with a girl, called and said, "You're never going to believe who Katie's with now." And I'm like, "Who?" And she said, "Who's the biggest movie star you can think of?" I said -- this is embarrassing -- 'Tom Selleck?!'"

The most recent edition of Interview magazine devotes an entire spread to tributes to the late actor, who is lauded for being a great father, a gifted actor, and an all around awesome guy. Did you doubt it? A sampling:

Amy Pascal: "He was always introducing you to 3,000 mates whose names you can’t remember."

Philip Seymour Hoffman: "Heath didn’t have the cynicism that this business can eventually put upon people, or the pretension that certain artists can carry with them sometimes. He had a really honest quality about him. He obviously had never lost his wide-eyed optimism."

Sean Penn: "Heath was not simply a quiet and gifted actor who liked to go surfing, though that is how I primarily knew him in life. It's been almost 2 months since actor Heath Ledger passed away - accidentally overdosing on prescription meds. And for the first time, Michelle Williams - his ex fiance and mother of his daughter Matilda - speaks out. Also, another past love of his - Naomi Watts - has only kind things to say about him. Here are excerpts from Interview magazine:

Michelle says:

"For as long as I'd known him, he had bouts with insomnia. He just had too much energy. His mind was turning, turning, turning - always turning. He had an uncontrollable energy. He buzzed. He would jump out of bed.

"I think that the interesting thing about Heath, which maybe people have only really fully discovered in his death, is how vulnerable he was. You can pick up on it in his performances, but it’s easy to overlook because he was so physical and beautiful and strong and masculine. But there was always that underlying sensitivity. That’s who he was."

She remembers the time following Matilda's birth as the best of her life:

"The first six weeks of our daughter's Matilda's life was this incredibly insular, protected time.

"It was just he and I and her, living in our new house in Brooklyn. No nanny, no help - not really even any family. A couple of friends came through, but we were really committed to forming a bond just between the three of us. And then that bubble got broken with work.

"Brokeback Mountain was going to come out and the press stuff just started rearing up. But those six weeks were just blissful."

What Naomi, 39, had to say:

"His acting was just so touching, so connected in truth. I think he was just getting started.

"That's the deepest tragedy in terms of his work - he was just beginning to own it and embrace it."

It's still so sad.

Dawson's Creek star - Busy Philipps (played Audrey), who is also best friends with Michelle Williams, is pregnant!

The actress tells UsMagazine, that she and her husband, Marc Silverstein are excited to be expecting their first child.

She said, "We found out today it's a little girl! I feel great! I've had, like, no morning sickness!"

She talked about Michelle and said that she doesn't mind taking hand-me-downs from little Matilda. "Michelle's going to send me a lot of stuff! We're very close."

Although Busy, 28, is godmother to Matilda Rose, she's not asking Michelle to be her new baby's godmom. "She has her hands full with being a mother right now."

Wow. It just doesn't get much more banally evil than stealing from the dead.

Apparently, Heath Ledger's well-loved 1975 green Komi van was stolen around the time of the actor's death, and although Heath's dad has made a public plea for its return, it's still missing.

The vintage van is apparently worth upwards of $70,000, in part due to the celebrity connection. Although I imagine that it's gonna be hard to dump, now that the world knows that some scumbag stole it and refused to return it to Heath's grieving family.

Feds Investigating Heath's Doctors

Federal authorities are investigatign the doctors who prescribed drugs to Heath Ledger. Ledger - who left behind a two-year old daughter, Matilda - died earlier this year as the result of a toxic combination of prescription narcotics.

According to People.com:

Doctors in California and Texas are under investigation by federal drug authorities in the matter of Heath Ledger's death...

“We are investigating doctors in Los Angeles and Texas with regard to Ledger’s prescriptions,” a source tells PEOPLE.

However, the source did not say whether any wrongdoing is involved, saying, “We don’t know yet. The agents were there this week, and we are waiting to hear from them.”

It's about time. I mean, it seems likely that somebody screwed up somewhere if Heath was taking toxic combinations of prescription drugs. And that's a screw-up that nobody wants to see repeated.

Colin Farrell says that he's honored beyond measure to be taking on one of the three roles that will replace Heath Ledger in "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus," but painfully so.

He says he accepted the role as a tribute to Heath. "It's about getting Heath's work out there. He's too good for any of his work not to be seen," Colin told Sydney's Daily Telegraph. "It makes me feel uncomfortable to think about it too much but it's an incredibly painful honor to have, you know, and an honor I wish wasn't bestowed, but an honor nonetheless."

The other actors who are taking over Heath's role are Johnny Depp and Jude Law. (Note: all of the actors playing this role? ALL dads. Go dads!) They will each take over playing Tony, Heath's character, when he steps through a magic mirror into an alternate reality at several different points in the film.

I, for one, am thrilled that we'll get to see a Colin-Johnny-Jude sandwich - of a sort - but, yeah - the cost of it was far too high.

At one point, shooting had been cancelled and all cast and crew sent home. But it looks like some of Hollywood's biggest male stars have stepped up to step into Heath's very big shoes and get the picture completed.

Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell will each take turns becoming multiple incarnations of Heath’s character transformed in the "magical" world of the film, according to AintItCoolNews.com.

Heath was playing Tony, a mysterious outsider, in the American fantasy adventure film about a traveling theater company giving their audience much more than they were expecting.

Only hours after the results of Heath Ledger's autopsy showed his death to be accidental due to a toxic combination of prescription drugs, the Drug Enforcement Agency has gotten involved and will be investigating Ledger's death.

A statement issued this morning by the Office of the New York City Medical Examiner declared Ledger's death "the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine," and concluded the manner of death an "accident resulting from the abuse of prescription medications." The 'abuse' was reported to have taken the form of a toxic combination of the drugs, rather than an overdose, and the DEA wants to know who prescribed those drugs, and how Heath ended up with such a toxic combination. Did the prescriptions come from one doctor, or multiple doctors? TMZ reported that it spoke to three clinical psychiatrists, all of whom said it would be "highly unusual" and "reckless" for one physician to prescribe this combination of meds, and suggested that more than one doctor would have to have been involved.

According to officials, the DEA has requested copies of Ledger's autopsy as well as the original police report from the crime scene.

Today's results put an end to speculation, but our son's beautiful spirit and enduring memory will forever remain in our hearts.

While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage.

Our family enjoyed an extremely happy two week visit with Heath just prior to the New Year. Those recent precious days will stay with us forever. We as a family feel privileged to have some of his amazing magic moments captured in film. To most of the world Heath was an actor of immeasurable talent and promise. To those who knew him personally, Heath was a consummate artist whose passions also included photography, music, chess and directing. Heath Ledger's death on January 22 was due to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs the New York City medical examiner's office reported Wednesday morning.

"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine," spokesperson Ellen Borakove said.

"We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications," the two-paragraph statement said in its entirety.

Is this creepy, exploitative, spooky, or all of the above? Some crazy-assed church in Nigeria (no, NOT the Church of Scientology; they haven't infiltrated Nigeria because, um, Nigerians have no moneys) is claiming that their 'prophet' prophesied the death of Heath Ledger - now known to be from an accidental overdose - after seeing it in a vision.

According to the Synagogue, Church of all Nations website:

“I (Prophet TB Joshua) was shown in a vision in the morning concerning a personality that would go on a long journey – a journey of no return. So we lift up our voice and pray. If it is the will of God, let the will of God be done. A personality, a famous person, a well known person that would just leave this earth and go on a journey forever. It is a personality that is not old. People still want him. We have to pray that the will of God should be done.”

These were words of prophecy uttered by Prophet T.B. Joshua in The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, Lagos Nigeria during the Sunday Service on the 13th January 2008.

He later referred to this particular prophecy the following Sunday, 20th January 2008, saying:

“Remember the message I gave last Sunday. I don’t want to repeat it because it is not something to be excited about. It’s in the record. I will not stand here and begin to repeat that message again. If there is something to be excited about, I will repeat it. I just want to remind you. Let’s come together. On Tuesday, you have to fast and pray”.

On returning to their various homes, those that switched on their television sets were met with BREAKING NEWS. Wow. They kind of lost me with the Bible camp campfire song at the end there. This prophecy and its fulfillment - Heath's death - show that God's got the whole world in his hands? I'm enough of an agnostic to simply disregard any and all claims of prophecy, but I'd have to go a step further here and say WTF? If the tragic death of a young father shows anything, it's that God's got a bad case of the dropsies.

Still, it's not quite offensive as the claim made the other day that we, as society, are thinking celebrities to death, and need to turn to The Secret to save them. Close, but not quite.

Heath Ledger's ex, Michelle Williams and his baby girl Matilda, made their final, sad journey to say good bye and are now in Perth. Williams, dressed in all black, was seen holding Matilda, while the toddler carried a stuffed toy rabbit.

Reportedly security was tight as the pair arrived and Michelle did not make any comments concerning the funeral of her ex fiance. They landed around 3pm on a flight from Los Angeles via Melbourne.

Heath Ledger Autopsy Results Delayed

The results of Heath Ledger's autopsy and toxicology tests were due to be released today, but sources say that these have been delayed.

Scopical News reports that The New York Medical Examiner's office has said that it was set to provide the results from the tests today, however that this had been delayed by 24-hours. No reason for the delay has been reported, but a representative from the office said that the report would be released tomorrow.

An initial autopsy of the actor found the cause of his death to be inconclusive, with further tests of tissue and toxicology samples conducted in the last two weeks. There's been rampant speculation that the actor died of some sort of drug overdose, accidental or otherwise, but his family and friends have vehemently denied that this is possible.

Whatever the case, we should know tomorrow. For better or worse.
