Please, parents. I beg you. DO NOT buy this doll for your children. It will come alive in the night and reprogram all of your electronics while shrieking CRIKEY! CRIKEY! before pillaging the kitchen drawers for a butcher knife and killing the family dog.

Just don't do it. Stick to Barbie. She'll just rifle through your shoe closet, and maybe try on your lipstick. Nothing to be afraid of, unless malproportioned plastic tits freak you out.

This, I think, is a tad disturbing: just a week after Heath Ledger's funeral, toy company Mattel has announced that it will release a Heath Ledger doll. You know, for the kiddies.

Mattel has announced that the company will be releasing two dolls featuring Heath as the Joker. One version will come with a rocket launcher and the other will be armed with a little knife and both will be marketed to coincide with the release of The Dark Knight in July.

A spokesman for the Ledger family says that they gave the project their blessing: "Heath was very proud of his work in the film and his family is aware and supportive of the plans for the movie."

It's nice that his family is supportive, but isn't the only relevant party here his daughter? Who's going to explain to Matilda why it is that Daddy only comes in miniature - and creepy, lipsticked knife-wielding supervillian miniature, at that? I know that knife-wielding Joker dolls aren't marketed to pre-schoolers, but still. I find it creepy.

Naomi Watts and Heath Ledger broke up some years ago, but she was nonetheless devastated by his death. She made her first public appearance on Saturday night - at a film fest that featured a tribute to Heath - but was unable to make it through the evening without breaking down in tears.

Naomi was at the Tropfest Film Festival in Sydney, Australia, to judge and present awards at the annual event. But she broke down when a video tribute — a complilation of clips from Heath's films, including Brokeback Mountain and Candy — was aired, reports Page Six.

Produced by film director John Polson, the tribute included clips from all of Ledger's movies including Brokeback Mountain and showed him presenting an award at Tropfest while music played in the background. "The Australian film industry lost someone very special a few weeks ago. He was gentle and had a humble spirit. We send our deepest regrets to his family. He's an incredible loss," Polson said.

The actress - who had earlier flown into Sydney with her baby son Alexander - had cancelled her appearances at the Sundance Film Festival after hearing of Ledger's death. She had dated the actor for two years after they met on the set of Ned Kelly.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger were close and Jake has taken the death of his good friend extremely hard. Gyllenhaal has kept a pretty low profile since Ledger's passing.

He was spotted Friday leaving a medical clinic in Beverly Hills. It's difficult losing someone close, but time doesn't stop and life must go on. Hopefully like Michelle Williams, Jake has a good support system of friends and family.

With the tragic death of Heath Ledger, comes the sad reality that his baby daughter will grow up without him. However, Heath's family vows that Matilda will be raised as an Aussie, and have a carefree childhood just like her daddy did.

The Ledger family plan to stand by Michelle and hope that their grandchild will have that Aussie connection.

I'm sure between Ledger's parents and siblings and Michelle Williams, little Matilda will grow up with her father's spirit and the best memories of him.

Michelle is lucky to have such a wonderful, loving support system for herself and her little girl.
