It seems like they make a Broadway musical out of every kids' movie these days, which is just fine but I'm hoping they'll leave a few alone. For example, who wants to see "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" live on stage? Not me.

Catherine Zeta Jones is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood and how, exactly, does she stay looking gorgeous and youthful? She admits she's a cosmetics junkie, saying, "I am absolutely devoted to cosmetics." However, there's more to her beauty and fitness regime than that!

The 39-year-old actress says, "I came out of the womb wearing makeup, and I never leave home without my eyelash curler," but says there's also every day items that she can't live without - beer, honey and salt!

Zeta Jones is the face of cosmetics firm Elizabeth Arden, but she has some natural methods that she swears by as well.

Honey and salt make a great combination for exfoliating.

She says, "I rub a mixture of honey and salt all over my body to moisturize and exfoliate. You wash it off and your skin is gorgeous."

And teeth, what sort of natural remedies does she have to keep teeth looking beautiful?

"I love to eat an apple after a meal, just to cleanse my teeth - they always look polished afterwards." And she recommends brushing teeth with a strawberry - seriously.

"The juice or pulp of strawberries contains malic acid which serves as an astringent and can lighten surface stains. Pineaplles work the same way."

Catherine keeps her hair silky and glossy with beer and honey.

"I do condition my hair with honey and beer though. I smell like the bottom of a beer barrel for days afterwards but it's very good for the hair."

How does she keep that fabulous figure, even after having two children?

"I like to swim, and I swim a lot." She's also an avid golfer.

"It's the greatest exercise. I also like to play golf, oftenn twice a week, with my girlfriends in Bermuda. A golf course is right next door to our house.

"We have a girls' day which is always fun because it's like: 'Oh, we're not playing well. Let's go for lunch and have a glass of wine!'.

She adds, "I also love to ski with my children. That's why we bought a place in Mont Tremblant in Canada. I have a great time with my children."

Catherine watches her diet and eats sensibly.

"I eat so much chicken and fish - when it's fresh.

"We live in Bermuda most of the time and my husband is an avid deep-sea fisherman. I'm pretty good at it too.

"I've caught mahimahi, and last summer, I reeled in a 40-pound wahoo, like Richard Dreyfuss in Jaws. Michael took photos and we has sushi that night for dinner."

But she admits she's a peasant at heart, and she loves bread and cheese and would eat it all the time if calories didn't count.

Catherine talks about the pressure in Hollywood for women to get back to their pre-baby figure.

The mom of two (with actor Michael Douglas) - Dylan, 7, and Carys, 5 - says she put on over forty pounds with each pregnancy. And she's appalled by Hollywood's obsession with thinness, especially celebrity moms who rush to get back to their pre-pregnancy weight.

"I think it's awful, this competition between actresses who just had a baby to see who can be the first to get back to their normal weight.

"It's insane! I find this wave of super-skinny women scary.... and I don't trust mothers of young children who are too well groomed. Let's see - you're not with your children, you're not with your husband - you're with your manicurist and your pilates teacher!"

Catherine admits that she looks different off screen, and people have to realize that she doesn't always look like a movie star.

"There are people who expect me to look the way I do on-screen, where I have a great director of photography and fantastic lighting.

"I'm sorry to disappoint people, but I don't look like that all the time - no actress does.

"I like women who look like women. I hated grunge. No one's more feminist that me, but you don't have to look as if you don't give a... you know.

"You can be smart, bright and attractive aesthetically to others - and to yourself."

Now, she sounds like a celebrity mom who is well-rounded and will pass those traits on to her kids!

"Armageddon" California Fires: Rob Lowe & Family Escape

Actor Rob Lowe and his family - wife Sheryl, sons Matthew and John - fled their home in Montecito, California as a brush fire engulfed the mountain behind their house, with flames shooting 200 feet in the air. The fire started Thursday night and by Friday morning had scorched 1,500 acres, destroying many homes in the foothills of Montecito.

Reports detail more than 5,400 homes were evacuated and more than 800 acres were burned in just six hours. Multi-million dollar homes are nothing but smoldering ruins.

Rob and his family stopped to check on neighbours as they evacuated, and found them trapped behind their automatic car gate. Despite smoke and flames, Lowe managed to help them open the big gates.

He said, "Embers were falling. The wind was 70 miles an hour, easily, and it was just like Armageddon."

Lowe's home was not damaged but he said, as authorities have, that the winds could change direction at any time.

"It's dead calm now, but if that wind kicks up it's going to be trouble, there's going to be no way to stop it."

Other celebrities have homes in the area, including, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, John Cleese, Michael Douglas, Christopher Lloyd and Steve Martin.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in coastal Santa Barbara county. Although no deaths have been reported from the fire, a 98-year-old man died shortly after being evacuated to a nearby hotel according to authorities.

Don't you just hate it when people you know talk in fake accents? I know it's funny for a minute but sometimes they take it a little too far and then you just get annoyed.

Well now Michael Douglas now knows how the rest of us feel. His lovely wife Catherine Zeta Jones has adopted a Scottish accent for a new movie role and he is just about tired of her practicing.

She says, "Michael is really fed up with it. When we are on the phone, I'll say 'Hello' in a Scots voice and he'll reply, 'It's me, enough already!'"

Catherine's new movie is Death Defying Acts and is about Harry Houdini and I'm guessing it's his death defying acts not hers since she plays a con woman.

Catherine Zeta Jones hates Los Angeles.

She has said: "I hate Los Angeles with a passion. I felt that way even when I was single and knocking on doors trying to get a job. We go there, work hard, have our meetings and then get the hell out again. I don't know how people live there, especially with kids."

Catherine is married to Michael Douglas and has two children, they have many properties around the world, but could never live in L.A.

That's alright Catherine, we don't want you here anyway.

This is a really good picture of her, she doesn't look snooty. My friend Claudia always said that she thought Catherine Zeta Jones got beat with an ugly stick. Not this time.

Sexy siren Catherine Zeta-Jones is a wife, mother of two and a busy actress. She thinks she still has many great things ahead for herself and she's not even reached her sexual peak. Plus she might throw in some nudity.

Catherine talks about her career, and what her future holds in that aspect of her life and she hints that she might even be naked for her next movie role.

"Obviously, my career is expanding and I am a mother and so I'm not going to be rip-roaring in corsets playing a 19-year-old because I'm not, I'm 38-years-old.

"I'm actually really lucky and glad these other roles have come along and I can play a mother."

She however, isn't excluding sexy movie roles.

"In my next movie, which is an untitled movie at the moment, you'll be seeing a lot more of me, put it that way.

"I'm not going to be playing old grannies anytime soon. You see, I haven't actually reached my sexiest point yet."

Zeta-Jones is currently promoting her new film Death Defying Acts, a fictional story about an invented affair that Harry Houdini had with a Scottish con woman who claimed she could help him contact his dead mother. It's release date is March 13 in Australia, and will be out in South Korea, Brazil, Spain, and Russia at the end of April. There's no US release date as of yet.

Catherine is married to actor Michael Douglas and the couple have two children together - Dylan, 7, and Carys, 4.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, according to a poll of women, is the "World's Most Beautiful Star." She was the number one choice of 8,000 women worldwide who placed a vote in a new global poll. Catherine beat out Brigitte Bardot (who came in second), Audrey Hepburn (she took third place) and even beat out Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen - she took 7th spot.

Women were able to vote on celebrities whether dead or alive, as they looked in their "heyday." Zeta Jones even beat out younger beauties Jessica Biel, 25, and Sienna Miller, 26.

Surprisingly, Angelina Jolie didn't even make the top 50!

Mom to Dylan, 7, and Carys, 4, Catherine Zeta Jones laughed when husband Michael Douglas told her rumours were flying about her having an eating disorder. "Michael was laughing at me. He told me what [people had] said – that stories say I'm anorexic. Do I look anorexic?" she told People Saturday at the Savannah Film Festival, where Douglas was receiving an award for Lifetime Achievment in Acting. "How could I ever, ever be anorexic?"

She says she has been working out and not eating what she normally eats. She did express concern with society's pressure about women and weight, "There are many women [who are] maybe a little fragile, and it becomes a huge issue." She's right. Too skinny and we criticize. Too heavy and we criticize. Hollywood starlets can't win.

Regarding their kids, Michael Douglas said his kids don't know what their parents do for a living, "Dylan is 7 and Carys is 4. I don't have a movie that they can see. So up until tonight, they knew mommy is an actress and daddy makes pancakes. So thank you. Now they know what their father does."

Wait, what? He got an award for making pancakes? Pah. I just got 5 awards for making waffles. But I made them myself. Out of eggs and ketchup. Which was kinda messy when they got all over my gown, but I had to be there and accept the awards of my fans would be upset. By there, I mean my livingroom, and by fans, I mean my toddler and dog. Well the dog really just waited for eggs to fall, but the toddler clapped when I told him to.

He had son Dylan, who is seven, "go pee pee on his back" to help Daddy with the agonizing pain. I had no idea Michael Douglas was a fan of watersports.

Welsh minx Catherine Zeta Jones is having those baby making feelings again. Aussie site Celebs and Bubs reports that she is warming to the idea of an additional sibling for Carys and Dylan. They're letting things happen naturally (i.e. not IVF, yet) but the official bump watch starts now!

Of course, those warm feelings could be menopause, because she's getting well into her forties, right? I mean, she claims to be 37, but that's like being 29 forever. We all know her real age. Otherwise, it would be too gross for her to be married to ~~Grandpa Munster~~ Michael Douglas. He hasn't seen 29, or 37 for that matter, for a long, long time.
