Tori's Dream Come True: A Role On 90210

I guess that all that begging paid off: Tori Spelling, apparently, has gotten her wish of being cast in the new 90210 spin-off.

No word on whether it's that coveted 'MILF' role that she so wanted (please gods no) - and she had to wait until more desirable cast members (*cough*JENNIEGARTHHILARYDUFF*cough*) were confirmed - but it's something.

No doubt her daddy is very, very proud right now. Nothing pleases a nepotistic parent more than seeing one's child just cling forever and ever to that one break you gave them.

Well, now. THIS would make for an interesting spin on an old series: Hilary Duff is, apparently, being courted to star in the new '90210' series.

According to Kristin of Watch With Kristin at E! Online:

Sources connected to the series tell me exclusively that producers for the CW's 90210 remake have reached out to Hilary to offer her a starring role in the series.

No word yet on whether she is interested in the role, and at press time, we have not received comment from reps for the CW or Hilary.

According to sources, Hilary's potential character is that of Annie Mills. As I reported last month, Annie is a Beverly Hills High student who is into theater acting, just like (Brenda, Shannen Doherty's character). But instead of Color Me Badd, she’s listening to emo bands. She yearns to fit in with the alternative crowd and leans a lot on her adopted brother, Dixon, too.

Kristin's sources tend to be pretty reliable, so I'm guessing that this rumor is very probably true. Not as confirmable as the Jennie Garth rumor, maybe, but still. (I'm still going to hold out for Miley Cyrus, though. She'd do a more believable Brenda character, I think. She has the necessary good girl/whore thing going on.)

Now the only question is, would Tori Spelling be believable as her mother?
