Dakota Fanning Raves About "Twilight" Sequel Role

Child star Dakota Fanning wants to put on the fangs in the "Twilight" sequel, "New Moon." She's in negotiations to play the vampire Jane in the movie, set to start filming in March.

"I really hope it works out," Dakota says. "It would be a really fantastic experience, I'm sure." Not to mention big money, since "Twilight" did so well in theaters, despite being an utterly crap movie.

Last week, rumors said that Dakota, 14, was offered the role without an audition because Chris Weitz - the director - is confident she's perfect for the part. Jane is a member of the Volturi vampire clan, described as a "petite blonde with a Boticelli angel-like face and crimson irises." Sounds just like Dakota.

Ben Stiller Hospitalized

Ben Stiller was hospitalized over the weekend in NYC - so what happened to the 43-year-old comedian and actor?

No worries, he should still be able to wrap presents for Ella, 6, and Quinlin, 3, although he might be a bit slow going. Still apparently broke his hand.

His publicist Kelly Bush said, "I can confirm that he broke his hand snowboarding."

Stiller was admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital on Sunday and treated for the fracture. While no other details were made public, it's believed one of the hospital's top hand specialist was called in to treat him.

Hope you're better soon Ben - you've got two kids to chase around!

Ben Stiller says that his two "incredible" children are enough for him and wife Christine Taylor. The couple's children, Ella Olivia and Quinlin Dempsey, are included in the new movie Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and Ben says "they're ridiculously cute at 6 and 3."

Despite their glowing love for children, Ben and Christine don't plan to expand the family any more. Ben says they're "happy where we're at right now." Christine says, "Two is enough for now. Three's off." She thinks a third would throw everything off kilter.

"Two is a handful. I feel very fortunate," says Ben.

Ben Stiller, star of movies such as "Meet the Parents" and "Zoolander," has been part of the show business world from the get-go. His parents are Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, after all. But as for Ben's kids - Ella Olivia, 6, and Quinlin Dempsey, 3 - he wants them to "have as much of a regular childhood as possible."

"My daughter is not that interested in movies," Ben says. "She'd rather be playing with her dolls, which is good. I think that's healthy. My son sort of gets show business but he's also more involved with his trains."

Of course, if Ben's kids decide to go into the biz, he'll be totally supportive. Ben is married to actress Christine Taylor, 37. He's starring in the new movie "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" and the upcoming "Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian." He enjoys making movies that are accessible to his kids now.

"It's great to be able to share with them something they can enjoy," says Ben, 42. There's not a lot of films of mine I can show to them but we'll get to them eventually. I don't know how long it will take until they can see Dodgeball or even Heavyweights. But I'm guessing we'll get to both of them before There's Something About Mary."

Um, yeah. Quite a while, I'm sure.

Don't put those Jimmy Choos away just yet - HBO has announced that Carrie Bradshaw and her BFFs will be returning in a sequel to the successful Sex And The City movie that was a huge hit this spring. I just knew we'd get to see Carrie and Big have that baby.

Michael Lombardo, head of HBO programming on the West Coast, said on Thursday: "There is enormous interest by Warner Brothers Newline to do another Sex and the City, and I think, in fact, they're trying with our help to put that together now."

"When that happens, how long it will be, I can't say. I think everybody associated with that project was really heartened by, the enthusiasm from the fans of the show."

Pour me another cosmo! Let's just hope we don't have to wait so long this time. HBO, get that movie out before Samantha turns sixty.
