Joel Madden turned 29 today. Nicole Richie helped him celebrate by making him take her Starbukcs and buy her a latte.

Their baby girl, Harlow Madden, who turned two months old today, was nowhere to be seen. Which seems to be the norm now. She's only seen with her parents if somebody paid a million dollars for the photo rights. Otherwise, she's with the nanny. Can't have those babies slowing you down on Starbuck's runs!

Celebrity mom, Nicole Richie has revealed that the birth of her daughter, Harlow, was trouble-free and "really mellow." And the best part? It only took 10 minutes!

She told OK! magazine: "It was really mellow. I don't know what time I actually went into laour, but I pushed for ten minutes.

"Three pushes and she was out."

The apparently lucky, first-time mom gave birth on January 11 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. Little Harlow's daddy is Good Charlotte rocker, Joel Madden.

Ten minutes for a first baby? Talk about luck!

Not that this comes as much of a surprise, but apparently Nicole Richie wants Paris Hilton to be her baby's godmother. Hubby Joel Madden, however, isn't so keen on the idea.

Joel, apparently, doesn't think that Paris is up for the task, and would prefer instead to name his future sister-in-law, Sophie Monk, godmother.

Paris Hilton, not up to the task of being godmother? Shocking. Couldn't have anything to do with her being, you know, a godless heathen of a famewhore tart, could it?

Nicole Richie And Joel Madden Breakup?

Well, not exactly. However, there are reports that the new parents were going to call it quits before the baby was born. Apparently they had even called off their wedding! Joel was said to be upset with Nicole because she refused to stop working (um, what's her job again?) before the birth of their daughter. The joy that they felt though, when little Harlow arrived, made them realize how insignificant their problems were and decided to give it another shot.

An "insider" told the National Enquirer :

“Nicole wouldn’t get off her feet and stop working, despite warnings from friends, family and Joel to take it easy,” said another source.

“She was obsessed with getting the recording of her first CD underway.”

Nicole also threw herself into the couple’s charity - the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation - and became consumed with baby showers and planning the wedding.

“Finally, Joel said enough is enough. He told Nicole that if she wouldn’t listen to him about something as important as their child, the wedding was off,” said the source.

“Nicole was blindsided, but Joel didn’t feel he had any other option. He was ready to walk.”

“Happily, everything changed when Nicole delivered their healthy, 6-pound, 7-ounce daughter at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

“Cradling the baby, Nicole looked up into Joel’s eyes and whispered: ‘I’m so sorry. I love you,’” said the friend. “From that point on, all was forgiven and the wedding was back on.”

Joel told Ryan Seacrest:

"Obviously, marriage is in our future."

I hope they do stay together, not only for their sweet girl Harlow Winter Kate but because they do seem like a cute couple.

Sure, what first time mom isn't? Halle Berry is petrified of giving birth and she insists that childbirth is more nerve-wracking than awaiting the winners' announcements at the Academy Awards.

Berry tells British mag Reveal: "I'm worried about giving birth. I've been pretty cool about my pregnancy up until lately, but suddenly I'm realising that there's a baby that's got to come out and someone is going to have to be there to push it out.

"Emotionally, I'm a bit of a mess. Besides all the hormones bubbling and boiling inside me, the anticipation is starting to get to me. I'm more nervous now than I was during the Oscars."

Halle and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry are due sometime in March. I guess she could try to stay pregnant forever. Hey if super tiny Nicole Richie can push a baby out, you'll be fine!

Lionel Richie, whose daughter Nicole Richie just gave birth to her first child, says he's still getting used to being called Grandpa. "While it may take me a moment to adjust to being called grand dad, I am extremely happy and proud of Nicole and Joel."

Nicole and Joel Madden welcomed daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden on Friday.

I can't believe Lionel Richie's a grandfather, since Brick House is my favorite dance song of all time. You know, back before electricity was invented and I played it on my hand-cranked record player.
