Russell Simmons has it all figured out, the key to calm kids is meditation.

Do you meditate? I do sometimes, really every once in a while, but when I do it helps so much. I can imagine the difference it would make on a child.

Russell says that his daughters are able to focus on their education and he is able to get by in a stressful world. Maybe that's why it was so easy for him to agree to pay the $40,000 in child support, well that and the fact that he loves his daughters.

Did you know that he works with the David Lynch Foundation to promote meditation in schools, that's great.

He said, "I'm a meditator. I operate most days from my meditation. It gives me the strength to function when the outside world is full of stress. It's much easier. My children are meditators. It's changed their life. And I want to give this gift that has helped my kids to all kids... Schools are almost like prison when you don't get kids to focus on what's inside... To promote quiet time in schools where some of the worst schools become the best. These million kids that we will teach to meditate, I'm very happy to be supporting it."

I think that is awesome, I'm going to go meditate now, I'm inspired.

Entrepreneur Russell Simmons and ex-wife Kimora Lee are parents to two daughters - Ming, 9, and Aoki, 6 - and early last week, it was reported Simmons was ordered to pay $40,000 per month for child support. However, he wants to clear something up - he says he was not ordered to pay it - he happily pays it.

Simmons writes on his blog:

I am reading these stories today about how a judge ordered me to pay Kimora $40,000 a month in child support and I want to make something very clear. Nothing was ordered, it was given. My kids have a fabulous life; they are exposed to a broad range of artistic and scholastic educational programs and I’m very happy to contribute to that. As long as I have it, they can have it. If I ever don’t have it, I’m coming to live with them!

It's nice he's willing to pay his child support and I hope he also spends quality time with his girls!
