Heath Ledger's Death: Mary-Kate Olsen Asks for Immunity, Releases Statement

Mary-Kate Olsen had allegedly asked for immunity from prosecution prior to her cooperating with a federal investigation regarding the death of Heath Ledger.

According to a law enforcement source as reported by People, she was the last person that authorities wished to interview. It is believed that investigators chose not to subpoena Olsen for questioning.

That was the way things stood until this afternoon when Mary-Kate's attorney issued a statement as follows:

"Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger's home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them. Regarding the Government's investigation, at Ms. Olsen's request, we have provided the Government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger's death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed. We don't know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the Government's inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate."

So what does this mean? I have no idea, but I'm sure we haven't heard the end of it.

The Truth About Christian Bale

Reports of Christian Bale allegedly assaulting his mother and sister seem to be nothing more than drama.

“Christian was stressed, but he didn’t lay a finger on anyone. Instead, he flew off the handle and cussed his mother. He just got very loud because his mother was saying some very outrageous things about him, and his wife,” the source said.

Bale’s lawyers issued a statement Tuesday denying the allegations of assault.

The actor’s sister, Sharon Bale, told Britain’s Telegraph an “incident” had occurred but would not offer up any details surrounding the events that lead to her brother’s arrest.

“OK, there was an incident but the police are dealing with it,” she said. “It is an extremely sensitive situation. There is nothing more I can say.”

Jenny Bale was also tight-lipped, but said they did not call the police.

“Yes, I was there, and yes there was a family situation, but the police are handling it and I cannot say anymore at the moment,” Jenny told the Telegraph. “We didn’t call the police to the scene. I can’t say anymore, but we didn’t call the police.”

Thank goodness.

Christian Bale is Sick of This Guano

Christian Bale, everyone's favorite bat daddy, has released a statement regarding his alleged arrest.

In a statement released today:

"Christian Bale attended a London Police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the Police.

At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr Bale."

Man, I hate even writing about this. I hope whatever crazy is going on is resolved quickly.

And yes, I know that I've used "guano" in two posts today, but it's really funny to me.

Gene Simmons Sex Tape Is REAL

Just in case anyone had any doubt, even Gene Simmons' lawyers are admitting it: that is, indeed, big Gene working his little genie in that sex-vid that's causing such a sensation on the Internet.

According to the cease-and-desist letters that are being sent to anyone who has dared post the video on the internet, the guy with the penis in the video is, in fact, Gene, and he has not given permission for this particular sex-performance to be broadcast (webcast, whatevs):

“The video in question was surreptitiously filmed without Mr. Simmons’ knowledge by a woman named Traci Anna Koval. To the the extent that Ms. Koval ever claimed to have any interest in the video, which is both disputed and inconceivable, given its surreptitious filming, such rights were acquired by our client Allied Industry in 2003, pursuant to a written assignment and release agreement in which Ms. Koval assigned all of her interest in the video to Allied Industry, including the copyright, represented and warranted that no additional copies would be exploited or distributed and expressly consented to injunctive relief.”

So there you have it. The video was filmed surreptitiously, without Mr. Simmons' knowledge. Which means, yes, that he was there, but just didn't know, at the time, that he was being filmed. Once he did know, he acquired rights over copy and distribution. Translation: HIS TAPE, in all manners of speaking.

If you haven't seen the Gene Simmons sex tape, please ensure your stomach is empty and your eyes are closed. I mean really.

Even the model he was collapsing upon turned her head when his giant freak head was coming at her to smooch. Gaggerific. How do I know this? Oh I watched it. Through my fingers and squinty eyes, I swallowed my gag reflex several times in order to serve you, the people. You're welcome.

Anyway, ol' Gene has issued a statement on his website:

Your past Gene? As in a few months ago? If this chick was much further back in the timeline, I'm pretty sure you'd be the one looking straight into the barrel of a legal team.

Kind words? Uh, Gene? You haven't been reading blogs, obviously. We're all sufficiently grossed out. Even my best friends who had a Foreigner song play at their wedding are going to get divorced and re-married just so they can lose the now tainted memory of their first dance. The only "support" I can offer is for you to buy your sad ass a Bowflex and maybe try this funny food called salad, because you are not going to burn more than 3 calories having sex like that. Dead people burn more calories. The sad thing is, you can't lose weight from that fat head of yours.

Dennis Quaid's Twins Reported in Stable Condition

It would appear that Dennis Quaid's newborn twins Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone are now in stable condition following the accidental overdose of the blood-thinning drug Heparin. The staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center mistakenly gave the babies 10,000 units instead of the proper dosage of 10 units. That, in a nutshell, is fucked up.

According to TMZ, the hospital's Chief Medical Officer, Michael L. Langberg, MD, apologized and issued a statement this evening.

As we stated before, we wish the Quaid family the best.
