So what started out as a little rumor/misunderstanding went viral and had everyone wondering whether Martin Lawrence was dead or not.

He's not!

He's filming a movie called Death at a Funeral. The movie stars Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock and is a remake of a British flick from 2007.

Do people just not think before they open their big fat mouths anymore?

I guess not.

Martin's oldest child probably has a cell phone, how horrible it would be for her to see a text like that on her phone, while at school or with friends.

There are rumors circulating around the internet today that actor and comedian Martin Lawrence has passed away. What apparently touched off the stories are reports of people receiving cryptic text messages broadcasting reports that Lawrence had died in his sleep. If you'll remember, similar text messages were tagged as the source of death rumors regarding Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and actor Bernie Mac. Sadly, the rumors surrounding Mac's death turned out to be slightly prescient; he was gravely ill in a hospital at the time and passed away a few days later. Let's hope that isn't the case with these stories of Lawrence's passing.

The rumors surrounding Lawrence's death may have been started by the recent news that the Big Momma's House star is joining Tracey Morgan and Chris Rock in a remake of the 2007 film "Death at a Funeral." A publicity stunt, perhaps?

Lawrence actually did have a near-death experience August 1999. The actor went into a three-day coma after collapsing from heat exhaustion while jogging in 100-degree heat while wearing several layers of heavy clothing. He did recover, although there were reports that at one point he had a body temperature of a seemingly impossible 107° and was on a respirator.

Let's hope the rumor is just that - a rumor, and hope it gets cleared up quickly. As we've seen, the internet is a great tool for spreading information, but not all of it is true. The sad story of Natasha Richardson's tragic accident that has been dominating the news today has been rife with false information and innuendo. I can't imagine how difficult it would be for Lawrence's children, Jasmine; 13, Liana; 8 and America, 6 to hear false stories in the media about their father's death.

Tina Fey's Baby Drops Today

No, Tina Fey isn't giving birth - her much-ballyhooed new movie, "Baby Mama" opens in theaters today. In the film Fey, who stars with former Saturday Night Live castmate Amy Poehler, is a single successful businesswoman who wants to have a baby. With an uncooperative uterus and no prospective husband in sight, Fey hires a loopy surrogate (Poehler) to have a baby for her. Hence the title, "Baby Mama" - in case you were having trouble figuring that one out.

Fey, who in real life has a daughter Alice, 2, with husband Jeff Richmond says if she were forced to choose a celebrity to have her baby it would be beach volleyball star Gabrielle Reece. "You try to think of who's healthy and it's, like, no one," she says. "But Gabrielle Reece is athletic and lives in Hawaii. Plus, she's already made some kick-ass babies."

Me, I would totally choose Tina Fey to have my baby.

It's true. I love Tina Fey. But don't worry Tina - it's in a totally non-sexual, respectful, fawning, creepy sort of way. And yes, that was me in your hallway dressed like the FedEx guy!

But who wouldn't love Tina? She funny. She reduces her acting method to four moves, ”Eye-rolling; the ability to eat food on camera in real time; I think I’m a decent straight man. Do I have a fourth move? Um, unpleasant dancing.”

And she wise! Tina's take on fame: ”They should draw up an equation: What level of fame do you need to achieve to keep doing what you want? Because you don’t want any more than that. You don’t want someone to take a picture of your butt on the beach."

Now, everybody love on Tina!

Tina Fey Sounds Totally Normal

Tina Fey comes off as so absolutely down-to-earth and normal that I've been waiting for some freaky secrets to come out about her. Like maybe she brews batches of meth in her coffeepot, or forbids all of her co-stars on 30 Rock from making eye contact with her unless they spank her first.

But everything I read about her makes me think that she's just a normal, overworked parent like the rest of us. “I think my generation has been slightly tricked in that you’re really encouraged to try to have it all," Fey says. "The life of the working parent is constantly saying, ‘This is impossible,’ and then you just keep doing it.”

"I would be lying if I said there were not tears involved at home occasionally — just occasionally. Last spring, my husband was trying to joke around with me. I was saying, ‘Please stop talking. I’m trying to go to sleep,’ and he kept talking. Out of the blue — he still mentions it, that I had the most terrifying look on my face — I just went, ‘Stop it!!!’ and shoved him across the bed."

Seriously, I totally want to hang out and have coffee with this woman. I wouldn't even check the coffeepot first.
